22.01.2022 The Weekly Wrap: Cooinda Building Project Last week’s concrete slab for the new lounge and verandah was a milestone. WHAT HAPPENED LAST WEEK... The blocks for the retaining wall were laid and reinforced and concrete was poured into the blocks. Plumbing work continued, digging some trenches and locating and installing several drainage pits for stormwater. Several inspections passed the work completed so far. The concrete slab for the new lounge room and verandah was poured - unfortunately an intense rain storm soon after meant that some smoothing off to the surface of the slabs will need to be done in the next week or two. WHAT WILL BE HAPPENING THIS WEEK Laying new stormwater pipes will continue. The bricklayers will be back finishing off the retaining wall and some footings. Waterproofing of the retaining wall will commence, and once this is completed, drainage will be installed and backfilling will be done.
