People who have been in a COVID-19 hotspot in the last 14 days or since the hotspot was declared (whichever is shorter), .... Please pass this information on to family/friends from, or returning from these areas so they are aware of the changes. If you require clarification, please call us during business hours. 15.01.2022 // Aged Care Direction (No 20) was released by Qld Health today. The restriction in relation to Victoria included in our Fb post on 12/1/2021 .... All other restrictions continue to apply. Please share this message (if relevant) with your contacts intending to visit Cooinda.

15.01.2022 Due to the recent COVID-19 case in Greater Melbourne, anyone who has been in cannot enter a Residential Aged Care facility unless 14 days have passed since you were in Greater Melbourne. The 46 Western Australia LGA’s and two unincorporated areas are also still considered COVID-19 hotspots. ... Visitors from any of the above areas will not be allowed access to Cooinda until further advice is received. Please share with your contacts if relevant.

Visitors who have travelled to/from these areas must not enter a Residential Aged Care Centre in Queensland. ... Please note that New Zealand is no longer considered a safe travel zone country and anyone from New Zealand who travels to Australia will need to quarantine. Anyone who has been in New Zealand in the past 14 days unless an exemption has been granted.



08.01.2022 // We have this morning received Aged Care Direction (No 22) which . This is great news for our family members living in or travelling to that area, and we look forward to seeing you soon! The following conditions continue to apply under the new direction. Visitors, staff or volunteers at a residential aged care facility ... anyone who: is unwell has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or asked to quarantine has returned from overseas in the last 14 days (excluding safe travel zone countries) has had contact with a person with COVID-19 in the last 14 days has visited a COVID-19 hotspot in the last 14 days or since the hotspot was declared (whichever is shorter) has been tested for COVID-19 and is waiting for the result (except for tests due to surveillance testing obligations) has COVID-19 symptoms of fever (37.5 degrees or more), cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of smell or taste, runny nose, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting or fatigue. Please continue to present to our main Reception area for Covid-19 and temperature screening prior to commencing your visit. We appreciate your assistance over past weeks in helping us to keep our Residents and Staff safe.

This includes restricting entry to staff and visitors. Would you please ensure that any family or friends from or returning from these areas are aware? 02.01.2022 http:// We are excited to pass on the good news following receipt of Aged Care Direction (No 14)! 1. From today (1/12/20) the only remaining Covid-19 Hotspot is Adelaide, and Cooinda welcomes visitors from all other areas of Australia.... 2. Residents are permitted to leave the facility for any reason, but MUST comply with all other public health directions, eg restrictions on the number of people who may gather outdoors or at residences, currently 50. 3. The limit of a maximum of 2 visitors at a time has been removed. Visitors can also see more than one resident per visit and can go from one lodge to another if they wish. 4. The flu vaccination requirement has been removed. This is because the peak of the 2020 flu season is over, and the vaccination is no longer readily available. All other restrictions remain in place: Visiting hours - Monday to Friday 9.00am to 6.00pm; Weekends and public holidays 9.00am to 3.00pm All visitors and staff MUST report to main Reception for screening and temperature checks A Risk Assessment questionnaire is to be completed with the relevant RN/CN prior to a Resident leaving the facility, and again on return. Should you require any clarification on any of the above, please call us during business hours.
