24.01.2022 This view is a little different than yesterday! We have just turned off the fire pump and sprinklers as this big fire is no longer a threat to us for now. It was good fire plan practice and I hope it remains that way. The cows were stressed and Wally the wattle bird not so relaxed looking for more attention than usual. Animals are so insightful and usually not from visual cues but this is pretty visual. Hoping things improve for those under threat. The wind has died down and it is no longer 42 degrees here. Good on you CFS and others. A long stressful night ahead for many people.

24.01.2022 Thunder and 30mm of rain. Yay! It has no doubt helped the firefighters a bit as the fire is now officially contained. It will burn for at least a week but those under threat can maybe get some sleep. Thanks CFS and everyone else onto it.

13.01.2022 Hangin’ out with my old girl Biscuit for a moment. She gets a bit forgotten when there are four canines! - when Holi pup and golden child Jack steal the limelight. And then there is gorgeous Sebi who is Holi’s punching bag at the moment but I think he secretly likes the attention! Loveable chaos basically when you add a pet bird and two pet sheep! #blessedcountrylife

10.01.2022 These two are a worry! Holi v Wally! Wally’s flying is almost as good as #chrissperou these days but she does take this game of bird v dog to the limit! Just after this she landed on my head so I had a jumping bean puppy at my feet. Happy Friday evening lovelies. I spent some of today digging up iris bulbs and I’m up to 4 buckets full might need a hot wheat bag with my red wine!
