22.01.2022 LEVEL B RETURN TO OUTDOOR TRAINING NOW IN PLACE. Please ensure that we are still in a NO CONTACT (Tackling) environment. The minimal space for 20 people (player...s and coaches) is approximately 50 x 30 metres which equates to of a pitch. Therefore if a club has a full pitch available to it this provides training space for 4 groups of no more than 20 people per group. For example, a MiniRoos team where there are less than 20 players and coaches requires pitch. A Youth or Senior team where there may be 16-20 players and coaches will require a minimum a pitch. As depicted in the following diagrams a club should divide each pitch into 4 and ensure that no more than 20 people are in each quarter at any one time. That is, a maximum of 80 people can be on a full size pitch that has been subdivided into 4 quarters. Football NSW recommends that clubs nominate an official who will act as a COVID-19 Marshal at each training session. 22.01.2022 Some huge games coming up this Sunday at Gough Whitlam Park in what is the last round of the season. Two games are virtually considered "Grand Finals" as the top two teams in both divisions play each other in the final round to see who will finish first in their respective competition. At 9am the U12/5s do battle against Abbotsford. Abbotsford held the lead all season until last weekend. In their last 5 games they have only recorded one win and had 3 draws and one loss. In c...ontrast, the Titans have had one draw and won their last 4 matches on the trot. Their only previous meeting ended in a draw. The teams are so evenly matched that their win/draw/loss record is identical at 8 wins, 4 draws and 1 loss.. As both teams sit level on 28 points, a draw is all that is needed by Cooks River to take the title as they have the superior goal difference but coach David Kavanagh has stated his team will be going out for the win. At 11.15am the U14/1s have a big clash against Enfield Rovers. Enfield had led the table for the majority of the season but a recent draw saw Cooks River take the lead only for Cooks River to suffer a subsequent draw and again relinquish the lead. In their last 5 games they have both won 4 matches and drawn one. The Rovers took the spoils on their only previous meeting winning 3-0 but the scoreline didn’t really reflect the game. Enfield sit on 30 points with 9 wins and 3 draws while the Titans have 9 wins, 2 draws and one loss to sit a point behind on the table. If Cooks River can inflict Enfield’s first loss of the season then the Titans will be crowned champions. Coach Sasha Jovanovic has his players well drilled and go into the game with confidence they cap off a great season with a win. As we know there will be plenty of interested attendees on Sunday, we ask that you be COVID-Safe by signing in via the COVID QR code (located near the BBQ area), use the available hand sanitiser located at several areas and always practice social distancing in accordance with the NSW Health Orders. If you have been overseas or to Victoria in the last 14 days or are showing any signs of illness please refrain from attending.
