20.01.2022 Today is a special moment in history and marks the 250th anniversary of the arrival of Captain Cook at Waalumbaal Birri, Waymburr (Endeavour River, Cooktown). Due to COVID19 we unfortunately had to postpone our planned event for this year, however the Cooktown Re-enactment Association have compiled a video to mark the occasion. We will see you all in Cooktown from 11-20 June 2021 for the Cooktown and Cape York Expo 2021 !

03.01.2022 DISCOVERY FESTIVAL IN JULY: there's been a bit of confusion! Yes the Discovery Festival is on this year, but not in June. The Discovery Festival will be held as part of the three week Cooktown Expo 2020 program. The Expo runs from July 17 to August 4, and the Discovery Festival will be the middle weekend, running from July 24 to 26.
