24.01.2022 Look at this beautiful note that was left in our little Pantry. Thank you to everyone who generously supports this project
24.01.2022 Please remember, the Cooktown Little Free Food Pantry is for those who NEED it not want it because it’s free. I am aware of individuals who abuse the pantry and therefore abuse me and those who make donations. It was always my intention to support those who are socially and economically struggling not those who are earning an income but for whatever reason believe they are entitled to take from the less fortunate simply because it is free. It is unreasonable to expect that I will support, and expect the community to support this project if this greed continues., instead I will seek to find another way to help those who NEED it.
23.01.2022 Saw this on a few pages over the last week or two. Bears repeating. #FridayFoodforThought
21.01.2022 National Farmer's Day offers much-deserved praise to the hard-working farmers across the nation. In the midst of harvest-season, the day pays tribute to the me...n, women, and family who put food in the grocery stores and on our tables every day. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, FARMERS AND FARM FAMILIES!
18.01.2022 Problem sorted after a trip to the dump. Any artists in town want to paint it??
18.01.2022 Look at this lovely initiative. Thanks to a humble tea bag. A simple How are you? Goes a long way.
17.01.2022 Labeling has arrived, yay - looking super official now. And we can promote the ongoing support from our local Lions Club, thanks Endeavour Lions Club Cooktown.
16.01.2022 With thanks to the Cooktown Lions Club, the cupboard is full for another week. Each day we are able to put food in the Little Pantry.
13.01.2022 Thanks to two local artists the Free Food Pantry has a bright new look
11.01.2022 Check out our new pantry! It’s a wee bit bland looking as I was in a rush to replace the old one. There is a flow of people in genuine need who now visit the pantry and I didn’t want to disrupt this. Watch this space as the creative juices flow and a new look evolves....currently it resembles something like a large first aid kit
08.01.2022 A massive thank you to the crew from the Red Earth Organisation for dropping off 3 crates of food today for the pantry.
07.01.2022 With every negative comes a positive that encourages us to just keep swimmingyesterday I was approached by the Endeavour Lions Club who have generously offered a monthly financially contribution to the Cooktown Little Free Food Pantry. There are no words to express my gratitude, this heart felt contribution will ensure the pantry is always stocked and will potentially allow us to replicate another Free Food Pantrywatch this space. Then, this morning a very generous donation was left at the station, thank you. This included a large amount of toiletries and feminine hygiene products which I plan to add to and make into hygiene packs.
06.01.2022 The Little Free Food Pantry continues to get a work out to the extent that the door has fallen off would anyone be able to donate (or sell cheaply) another small fridge, pretty please and thank you from the countless number of locals who regularly visit
06.01.2022 Would someone like this or know of anyone who may need this infant formula? It’s unopened. It was donated but I’ve had it sitting inside because of the heat.
05.01.2022 Let's show the world there is more good than greed. If you can spare any nonperishables please consider the little free pantry, stock is going quick at the moment.

04.01.2022 Reminder that the Cooktown CWA is running its first soup kitchen tonight from 7-9 for families and individual members of the community in need.
02.01.2022 Thanks Nellie / Cooktown Wholesalers for your thoughtful donation.
02.01.2022 Parents, can I please encourage you to have a chat with your children to explain the purpose of the Little Free Food Pantry. I am more than happy for your children to take from the pantry if they need it and I have explained this to a number of children who tend to visit. It’s very disheartening when I find items damaged and thrown in the trees. Today I have to throw away 2 packets of tampons; feminine hygiene products are expensive and often unaffordable for many women. Please give generously & take honesty
