22.01.2022 Long before being named the Endeavour River by Captain Cook, this body of water was referred to as Waalumbaal Birri. 19.01.2022 Well, now that’s not something you see every day or EVER! In a testament to the Great Barrier Reef’s ability to attract visitors from all over the world, gues...ts on our Agincourt Reef pontoon got a once in a life time surprise when this keen snorkeller popped by for a visit. At about 40kms off the mainland, it was more than likely swept out to sea during the recent rains. This is the first time any of our very salty sea dogs have ever heard of anyone encountering a crocodile on Agincourt reef. A Marine Parks and Wildlife team have the situation under control now, and our team acted to make sure no one was ever in any danger. Services will not be affected; however we continue to reserve the right not to serve any semi-aquatic reptiles at the bar. #NoTequilaShotsForMisplacedCrocs #AmazingEverySingleDay (Photo credit: Indepth Video, Dave Barger) #QuicksilverCruises #Australia #ThisisQueensland #ExploreTNQ #CitizensGBR #GreatBarrierReef

01.01.2022 EVER WONDERED WHAT A KOALA SOUNDS LIKE? Have you been in the great outdoors and heard this sound before? Yowi? Big Foot? Nope it's our friendly koala!! Koalas of Raymond Island are full to the brim with koalas to care for and George was not happy to have to share his accommodation!!
