24.01.2022 The abysmal weather on the weekend caused the cancellation of the Ladies Foursomes on Saturday, but did not prevent the Ladies Open Golf Championship being held on Sunday at the Coolamatong Golf Club with local, far South Coast & Sydney based clubs playing in atrocious conditions. 24.01.2022 Wednesday saw Div 1 won by Arthur Owens with a good score of 39 points from Michael Justen 38 on a countback from Ben Dutch followed by Terry Stevenson. Div 2 was one by Ian Funnell 36, from Bruce Hart 35, then came Werner Siegenthaler from Bill Quin. NTPs went to Bruce Dorward, Ian Wheeldon & Mitchell Ring.
24.01.2022 The Men's midweek comp was won by Chris Brown with 38 points followed by Pob Wheeldon John Henderson, Bruce Dorward & John Dixon. NTPS went to Thommo, Alan Parsons, Mick Justen & Ron Duncan. The years Ecelectric was a very close affair going to Alan Butterworth & then came Chris Brown, Ben Dutch, Thommo & organiser Ken Kable.
22.01.2022 With more than 30 players for the Men's competition we had some great score in Division 2 with Harry Robson returning a net score of 64, followed by Brian Burden with 66 and Bill Quin with 69. Division 12 saw Arthur Owens winning on a countaback with 73 from Chris Brown with 2 visitors, Peter McDonald & Levi Tomasone both on 74. NTPs went to Tony Perry, Brian Burden & Bill Quin. In the Ladies Mary Obermaier won from Jenny Earney with both also getting a NTP.
22.01.2022 In very windy conditions on Wednesday Rodney Baker had an excellent score of 40 Stableford Points winning from Ken Kable and Chris Brown with 34 followed by Ross Thompson. Nearest the Pins went to Blake Dawes & Steve Edwards. A small field in the Ladies saw Jan O'Halloran win from Mary Obermaier.
22.01.2022 Coolamatong Golf Club had a big field for Sundays Mens Stroke event with Division 1 being won by Alan Butterworth with a nett score of 72 followed by Blake Dawes and Charlie Filtness both with 73. Division 2 went to Geoff Wilkinson also with a 72 from Greg Murphy 74 and then came Jim Kubacki and Steve Edwards. Nearest The Pins went to Alan, Blake and Mick Bottom. Division 1 was won on a countback with 37 points by Ralph Ryan from Steve Young followed by Jason Christie, Ron Duncan & Charlie Filtness all with 35. Division 2 saw a excellent winning score of 43 by Tony Perry from Dave Harrison 39 & then Aaron Elphick, Troy Henning & Jenny Earney all with 38.... Nearest the Pins for the Men went to John Dixon, Chris Bevan & Mick Bottom and in the Ladies Mary Obermaier, Jenny Earney & Carolyn Major. 21.01.2022 Some excellent scores on Sunday with Jim Kubacki winning Division 2 with 47 Stableford points followed by Dal Dutch & Terry Stevenson both with 36 points. Division 1 was won by new member Ralph Ryan on 39 followed by Laurie Whitehead & Blake Dawes. Nearest the Pins went to Ben Dutch, Jim Kubacki & Terry Stevenson. In the Ladies Kylie Woodcock won from Mary Obermaier, with Kylie also getting 2 NTPs and Jan O’Halloran the other. Next Sunday is the Men's Foursomes Championship over 27 holes.
20.01.2022 More than 40 players competed on Wednesday. Division 1 Men's was won by Adam Hosie with 42 points, followed by Alan Parsons 41, Julian Clifford 38, Laurie Whitehead 36 on a countback from Mick Bottom 36. Division 2, Richard Hendricks with a great round of 43, Bruce Hart 39, Geoff Wilkinson 38, Clive Bunn 38 & Mark Wylie 37.... NTPs went to Richard Hendrikson & Kim Van Reede. The Ladies was won by Louise Hendricks with 41 points from Mary Obermaier & Sarah Leckie.

18.01.2022 On a great winters day that was perfect for golf, visitors led the way in the Men's competition at Coolamatong with Bart Joesph winning with a nett 72 on a countback from Chris Halligan, followed by John Henderson & Cliff Hannam & then came Chris Brown & Ian Wheeldon. NTP on the 17th went to Roger White. The Ladies comp saw Monica Watt win from Mary Obermaier, Jenny Earnery and Sarah Leckie. NTPs also went to Monica & Mary.
17.01.2022 In the Ladies midweek comp Jenny Earney returned a great score of 37 points winning from Mary Obermaier and Betty Thompson. Gary O'Neil won the Mens with an excellent round of 41 points from Gregg Quinn on 36 followed by Steve Edwards and Clinton Starr with 35. NTPs went to Chris Halligan, Clinton Starr & Arthur Owens. Next Wednesday the men will play a 3 club event, so choose your 3 clubs carefully.

10.01.2022 Four extra play off holes were needed to decide the Coolamatong Men's Open Champion with Alan Butterworth finally overcoming Charlie Filtness in a great tie breaker. Charlie consequently won the Scratch A Grade from Marcus Caldwell. Scratch B Grade winner was Roger White with Alan Parsons winning the net.... Scratch C Grade winner was Ross Brown, the net winner was Dave Harrison. NTPs went to Ben Smith, Keith Elliot, Tim Robertson & Hunter Caldwell. Division 1 in the Men's resulted in Ken Kable winning with 43 points from Mitchell Ring, Michael Justen and Steve Young. Division 2's winner was Chris Halligan on 41 from Steve Edwards, Werner Siegenthaler & then Ian Funnell.... 06.01.2022 Busy weekend at the Golf Club. On Saturday the postponed charity day was well attended raising funds for the local bushfire fighters and held as a 2 person ambrose with the winners being Bob Mullen & Josh Crawford with Jim Kubacki and Michael Justen coming second on a countback from Charlie Filtness & Steve Dunn. There were contributions from local sponsors & supporters and together with money from the auctions & raffles it was a successful event. Backing up on Sunday players competed for the Ron Duncan Trophy with Aaron Elphick winning the Men’s with a nett 66 from Terry Stevenson and Jenny Earney won the Ladies.

Approx 80 players with 18 temporary tees from 45 m to 180 m in length. Mens AGU winner Dal Dutch, then Brian Burden, Roy Gabriele & Brett Thomas, Mens Social winner John Riordan then James Wood, Eric Veiss & Bryan Burns. In the Ladies Monica Watt won from Mary Obermaier and in the Ladies Social event Cindy Edwards won from Tracy McDonald.
