17.01.2022 The ‘retro’ era was fun and funky and I wish I had kept that dress I made with a crimson & green geometric zig-zag pattern which made people gawk when I jived. (not sure if the gawks were in admiration). It was all very psychedelic in those days. Alas, all I kept was a paisley jerkin (we called it then) I also wore a leather belt with a huge brass buckle because I couldn’t possibly throw a mother and baby elephant away. It was Aussie made in true cow hide and I don’t know how I drew the line between loving elephants and thinking it was right for cows with sorrowful eyes to die to enable me to look ‘hip’. Mum’s anodized teapot always sat ready for action so when one presented at a garage sale, it was commandeered by me. Still trying to make our former collectables shop into a home so I’m selling the lot for $20 if anyone is interested.
