Installing Polystyrene garage door Panels!. This product can drop internal garage door temperatures by up to 25 degrees. The sun basically turns your garage door into an over sized oven element. This really is a cheap alternative to fix the problem! Generally there are 16 panels to a sectional / tilt garage door and is an easy DI...Y job. (Measure, Cut ,Glue ) That simple! All you need to measure is your panel Widths. 99% of all sectional doors have panel widths of 1200mm or less. To do this, measure the distance between inside of vertical Mullion to inside of the adjacent Mullion. If your panels are greater than 1200mm please advise us at the time of purchase and will send you a larger kit to suit. Here is what you get for $180 16 x Polystyrene EPS FR Grade Panels, each one 1260mm x 600mm x 15mm in size ( NOTE THAT THE PANELS ARE NOT AS THICK AS SOME SOLD BY OTHERS ) As a previous installer of the thicker panel products, We found that weight can cause strain with some older door motors and springs. Reducing the panel thickness has made no change to product performance.
