25.01.2022 The kindy children have been very busy tending to the garden, the reward is fresh veges for Mon, today we harvested cauliflower, beetroot, kale, spinach, lettuce, snow peas and rocket.

24.01.2022 What a beautiful day it is today! So sunny and warm. The Jr Toddlers are having a relaxed day outside with our flapping blankets and cozy areas outside, we have some large soft building blocks for construction or even sitting, we are also enjoying singing songs and reading wiggle stories this week,

22.01.2022 It’s a very quiet Monday in Jr Toddlers but we’ve been keeping busy and having A LOT of fun painting tree branches. We used Christmas colours and lots of sparkles. Have an awesome Monday everyone!

21.01.2022 The baby room have been enjoying reading books this week, we have read millie moo and the very hungry catapiller we enjoyed feeling all the different textures in millie moo. Story time is our favorite. Did you know! When you read your baby hears many different emotions and expressive sounds, It encourages your baby to look, point, touch, and answer questions. This helps with social, emotional developments and thinking skills.... What are your favorite books to read??

19.01.2022 The toddler room has been busy busy busy! We have been creating lots of artwork with paint, climbing over everything we can find and building our relationships with friends.

18.01.2022 The Jr Toddlers have been celebrating NAIDOC week. We made a big nature collage using the colours of the Aboriginal flag as well as leaves, bark, twigs and flowers that the children helped to collect from the yard. The children looked at flash card pictures of bush tucker foods that they may not know about, for example, witchety grubs and berries and some more familiar ones like carrots. We talked about what we could see and had a go at naming them. After looking at the fla...sh cards we ate fruit and practiced naming those too. We have looked at, talked about and painted pictures with some Aboriginal symbols. The children have been listening to Didgeridoo music while painting their collage and at rest times. They were curious about the deep, rumble sounds they could hear but it must have been relaxing as they settled to sleep quickly. Today we enjoyed Warragul, spinach and yam pastries for lunch We hope our families have an awesome weekend. Enjoy the warm sunshine!

17.01.2022 A visit from Santa’s helpers and something magical has happened at #coolfrogs ece. Come and see what magic we have in our foyer. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

16.01.2022 Over the past week the toddler room have been getting into the Christmas spirit and embracing our natural environment by making lots of interesting decorations. We threaded lavender through wreaths made of branches from an educators house. We made salt dough ornaments and pressed petals and herbs into them and painted and glued pinecones. We are loving all this Christmas craft!

08.01.2022 The Babies have been celebrating NAIDOC week (8-15 nov). We have created a ‘NAIDOC week 2020’ handprint canvas to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of aboriginal and Torres straight islander peoples.

07.01.2022 Recently, the Junior Toddlers have been enjoying noticing and trying to name colours. Some of them have been talking about it A LOT. We have been reading books about colours, singing the rainbow song and encouraging the children to recognise colours while doing things like painting and drawing. This morning we explored colours using a light board. The children enjoyed looking at each object on the table both, with the room lights on and off.

03.01.2022 The Junior Toddlers who are here early this morning are making paint for everyone to explore later on today. Lily told Sam what colours she wanted. Red, Yellow, Green and Blue. Sam put the flour, salt, water and colour into the cups and the children took turns to mix it all together.
