22.01.2022 How does the Coolgardie Phase Change Chiller Pack compare with similar products? We are unaware of any other Australian companies marketing below zero chiller packs. To the best of our knowledge the biggest selling ice pack brands in Australia are Esky and Willow which both have phase change temperatures of 0C. To the best of our knowledge the biggest selling below 0 ice pack brands in the USA are Arctic Ice http://www.arctic-ice.com/ and Yeti Ice http://intl.yeti.co...m/yeti-ice/ . Arctic Ice have a range of brands with temperatures of 1C, -15C and -2C and a range of sizes. Yeti has one -2C brand in a range of sizes. The closest to the Coolgardie PCCP are the -2C Arctic Ice Large Chillin Brew and the Yeti Ice 2lb pack. In our opinion -2C is not the best match for the Australian climate and drinking preferences. PCP Australia has 0, -2, -7, -11, -16 and -21 celcius PCMs. For the Coolgardie PCCP we selected our -7C PCM as the preferred and best temperature for the Australian climate and chilled drinking preferences. The Arctic Ice Large Chillin Brew retails in the USA at USD 23.95 (approx. AUD 32). The Yeti 2lb Ice pack retails in Australia on line at AUD 28.48. PCP Australia commenced providing LG India with phase change material (PCM) in 2012. This is the same PCM as we use in the Coolgardie PCCP.

21.01.2022 What is Phase Change Material (PCM) as used in the Coolgardie Phase Change Chiller Pack? As generic information, PCM are substances engineered to melt and freeze at a desired temperature. Ice is a common example of a PCM that melts/freezes at 0C. PCM use chemical bonds to store and release heat (whilst maintaining a nearly constant temperature) when the material changes phase. The latent heat of fusion of a PCM is significantly higher than the heat capacity of conventi...onal heat storage materials thus enabling them to act as a very efficient thermal energy storage system. Phase Change Products PCM are non-toxic and consist of inorganic hydrated salts which ensures their longevity over many thousands of cycles. As a -7C PCM the PCM in the Coolgardie PCCP will melt as it absorbs heat above -7C. The temperature in the container will stay constant until the melting process is finished. Adjusting the amount of PCM will adjust the container to the required temperature. See more

06.01.2022 We have purchased containers for the first 1,000 Coolgardie Phase Change Chiller Packs from Arctic Ice in the USA. We expect them to arrive at our Perth factory on or before Friday 16th. We will then fill and seal them. A definitive delivery date will be available within the next 7 days. 05.01.2022 One size does not fit all. Do not expect one pack to cool a 50 litre Esky or even a 25 litre Esky. The number of Packs used should be based on the contents and size of the container to be chilled. Indicatively two Coolgardie PCCPs for a 25 litre container with pre chilled contents. It becomes very economical over multiple uses. You would generally use close to the same weight of Coolgardie PCCP as you would regular ice. Indicatively, a 15 to 1 ratio of the internal volume of the container to the amount of Coolgardie PCCP used. Best results are achieved by chilling food/drinks beforehand, stacking contents to minimise spare space, placing at least one Coolgardie PCCP on the bottom of the container and not constantly opening the container.
