Under a local fire ban, open fires are prohibited and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been cancelled.

The bord...er to QLD is open, and the caravans are heading north to the sunny state So far over 220 vans have crossed the border through Mungindi from NSW to QLD. 08.01.2022 COVID-19 Recovery Update from Chris Whiting MP We’re opening Queensland for Queenslanders from 12 noon tomorrow, 1 June. * Queenslanders will be able to underta...ke unlimited travel including overnight stays throughout the entire state. * Restaurants, cafes and pubs that have a COVID SAFE checklist will be permitted to increase the total number of patrons from 10 to 20. * From Friday 5 June, venues with more space can allow up to 20 people in each separate area, seated for meals or drinks (no gaming, no gathering at the bar, but you can get a drink without a meal). * Certain venues may be allowed more patrons if they comply with an approved industry COVID SAFE plan. * Gyms, health clubs and yoga studios will also be able to open for up to 20 people and more with a COVID SAFE Plan. * Up to 20 people can take part in both indoor and outdoor based sporting activity, as long as it’s a non-contact sport and social distancing is followed. * This includes social sporting based activities and community sports clubs.
