24.01.2022 Today is such a special day for us when we get to remember those who have fought and died, fought and lived, and are still fighting for those who can't fight for themselves alone, for the freedoms we enjoy. Our prayers go out to the families who lost loved ones during our wars - mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives - and for the families who live life back home while their loved ones are away, in the gap for others. This ANZAC Day, and every day we remember them. Lest we forget. We remember that some died for many, and One died for all.

21.01.2022 Easter is now only two weeks away. We'd love for you to join us to remember and celebrate all Christ has done for us. 8.00am Good Friday and 9.30am every Sunday.

21.01.2022 So this happened yesterday. Congratulations on your marriage Conrad & Kristee Kretschmer. May God bless your life together. #whentwobecomeone

20.01.2022 In response to an article and reports by ABC (see link below), please read the response from our National Superintendent, Rev Rex Rigby. As Pastor of Cooloola Wesleyan Methodist Church, a husband, a son, a father, I wholeheartedly endorse his words. "Domestic violence has no place in our church or in our society. As the National Superintendent of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia, as a husband and as a father. As a Christian that holds to the teaching of Jesus, who e...levated the value of women to a position of equality and respect and who gave women a voice in a culture that often kept them quiet. As a member of a denomination that has been ordaining women since 1861. As one who witnessed and experienced domestic violence as a child. Domestic violence has no place in our church or in our society." Please read the following ABC article. http://www.abc.net.au//when-women-are-believed-the/9782184

19.01.2022 Coming to the Gympie Wesleyan Methodist Church on Wednesday October 24th - Joni Harms in Concert.... Harms lives on a ranch in Oregon with her family that was h...omesteaded by her great, great grandfather in 1872, and has been an inspiration for many of her songs. Joni Harms’ musical journey continues around with globe with the release of her 13th studio album, Lucky 13, which is receiving amazing reviews. 14.01.2022 It's funny that today I've been praying about communication in our society - social media, media education etc. Then I read this in my Advent Devotions from John Piper's, "The Dawning Of Indestructible Joy". "How shall you prepare your heart this Christmas to receive Christ? Fix your gaze on him in the Bible. Look to Christ! Consider Jesus. And pray. Look beyond your own flesh and blood, and ask that God would give you eyes to see and ears to hear that you might cry out with... Peter, 'You are the Christ the Son of the living God!'" When someone wants to know about God, about Jesus, we need to tell them about and point them to God's Word, the Scriptures. This is where we find out about and get to know Jesus - who He was, what He was like. We get this from those who were closest to Him. But more than that, this is the chief way God uses to speak with us. He will use our prayers, His whispers, His leadings. But more than anything, to communicate with His people, God will use His Word. This Christmas, as people ask you about the Christmas narrative and whether it's true or not, draw them to God's Word to tell them about Him and how He came to earth to save us. When you need answers and you're not hearing them, turn to His Word. His answers may not always be what we expect, but He always answers and most times, does so in His Word. Be drawn to His Word, and therefore Him, this Christmas.

09.01.2022 So true. Thank you Lord God for giving us our "older" age.
