17.01.2022 As part of our ongoing renovations at Cool Palms Motel we have added wooden tables to our standard rooms which have been custom made by Iona West Mens Shed The timber used in the centre of each table is recycled timber from the Mackay Courthouse! Great job Mens Shed... we love them!!

06.01.2022 Mackay recently hosted the 2019 Oceanic Masters Athletics and we were proud to have as our guests 2 multi medalists in Katie Keohane and Jason Smith. Both Katie and Jason picked up Gold medals - a huge congratulations to them both and to all the contestants. Cool Palms Motel where champions choose to stay!!
