24.01.2022 Who can forget the moment The Rubens found out they had WON Triple J's Hottest 100 with Hoops! You can see how excited we were to have won. It was so unexpected, we’d never been so elated See The Rubens at Cooly Beachfest on Saturday the 18th March 2017, along with The Beautiful Girls, Dorsal Fins, Bec Sandridge and The Vanns.... 5 Bands, 5 Hours, $55*. To me, music is far too precious to exist in a box, I think a song is born and dies in a moment and in that, becomes a new definition. Playing live, I never know what’s going to happen and that’s exactly the way I like it. As long as there is love there though, everything will be okay. Mat McHugh.
