Their preferred surface water temperature is 10 28 degrees Celsius. 17.01.2022 Turtally chill. This male green sea turtle could be around 100yrs old. Hatched out of the egg somewhere around the 1920’s!! It is hard to accurately age turtles but scientists believe some may even live as long as 500 yrs

05.01.2022 Alrighty folks, I lot of people have been asking me when the best time of year to swim with humpbacks is... Well, it is right now! There is a beautiful moment during the migration here in the Gold Coast bay, where the Humpbacks are on their way back south to Antarctica, and we get an incredible behavior known in the whale world as a mugging. A super inquisitive switch in behavior takes place. The whales often stop swimming, turn and swim straight over to the boat! sometimes... a pod may stay watching US onboard from the water for up to an hour Late august and September there is always an increase in this behavior, but it can happen at any time during the migration session from may to November You’ll learn much more about these Whales onboard too, and how we can continue to protect them & our Ocean. 05.01.2022 NEWS Worthy -Incredible Whale swimming footage off Coolangatta -Unique experience now available to Brisbane QLD residents -New Local Business, which has been directly and negatively effected by the NSW/QLD boarder closure. Now hugely excited and optimistic with the new boarder bubble exstention.... Hi, Please check out this incredible footage I have of Swimming with Whales off Coolangatta. We are the first & only operator to offer Swimming with the Humpback Whales in the Gold Coast Bay Area. Established in May 2020, which has been very difficult, especially with the most recent QLD boarder closure. With the Boarder bubble extended to include Brisbane and Queensland next week, just in time for the end of the swimming with Whales season which concludes at the end of October. I would like to invite a reporter to come join a tour and experience this incredible encounter. Alternatively sharing this footage in support of a new local business. 04.01.2022 Spot the difference... First Turtle is a happy green sea turtle. The second is a very weak and unwell Female loggerhead. @australian_seabird_rescue met us at the dock. Taken this one to Turtle clinic. Hope she recovers but it’s looking really about 50/50
