09.01.2022 Happy New Year! A new day, a New Year. Hello 2021! While it might be a bit of cliché to say 'New Year, New You', there is something about a brand new year, full... of hope and plans, and of course resolutions! At Royal Life Saving, we are, of course, long-term advocates of the benefits of swimming (plus it is another excuse to pull out our swimming dude!), so here are just 2 things to add to your health and wellbeing list, which will truly change your life forever: 1. If you don't know how to swim, sign up for swimming lessons. Open up a world of fun that only knowing how to swim can bring. It doesn't matter how old you are. Don't think about it. Just do it. 2. If you can swim, but it's been a while since you visited your local pool, get back into swimming regularly. Whether it is aqua aerobics, lap swimming, squads or competitive sport, give it a go, and feel better and healthier. Of course, we wouldn't be Royal Life Saving without a bit of safety advice...always check with your doctor to make sure it is safe for you to swim, and make sure you understand the effects of any medication you may be taking. For more information, visit the Royal Life Saving website at www.royallifesaving.com Happy and Safe Swimming!

08.01.2022 You asked and we are delivering! This morning I joined local MLC Bronnie Taylor, Michelle Thomas and Lorraine Alford from Cooma Swim Centre, Councillor Rogan Co...rbett and Mayor Peter Beer to announce the Cooma Swim Centre will be fitted out with a defibrillator thanks to a joint funding agreement between the NSW Government and Snowy Monaro Regional Council. This device will be crucial to saving lives in an emergency, while also providing peace of mind for individuals and families enjoying the pool and facilities.

02.01.2022 Come and join in the fun on Sunday 13th December to help us raise funds for a Defibrillator for the pool.
