14.01.2022 EDIT: Our message is being heard, and FDCA are working to help. See the latest: https://familydaycareaustralia.cmail19.com//35F60C4F337877 This is not to elic...it fear or guilt but it’s important for families to understand how this new system works. What a sad day for the Early Childhood Industry! There are not many winners here, so I beg you to dig a little deeper with the latest FREE CHILDCARE funding. It translates to something like this Essential workers continue to work and receive your full income - child care workers please continue to work and care for everyone’s children but accept a 50% pay cut! Early childhood always has been an undervalued industry, this will see thousands of passionate educators walk away because they are financially better off not working. This system might work for big profit based centres who can cut their staff hours and receive funding for children that aren’t there, but what about our gorgeous small centres or our family day care educators. What about those operating for less than 12 months who are now expected to work for FREE! huge love and gratitude to you all - this world needs you, hopefully our government realised that. Please don’t tell educators to be grateful they still have a job! They expose their families to risk every single day and work long hours, all for a slap in the face! Yes this works wonderful for big centres, this is a blessing to families that are keeping their enrolments but not sending their children. Always ask, who does this disadvantage? If you don’t believe my word, then head to Family Day Care Australia and read the comments from hundreds of disadvantaged workers.

03.01.2022 Our healthy version of Banana Bread. Instead of eggs and dairy, we used coconut oil, almond milk and an extra banana. Hoping this is safe for all children to have a slice at home after dinner. We took turns in mashing the bananas and stirring in all the ingredients, while we helped each other with holding the bowl. We discussed and measured the different ingredients, talked about the different textures of the ingredients we where using, the moist and runny ingredients to t...he dry mixture. While the other children went of and played, Eliza got to lick the bowl as she wanted, with great discussion this is what she does at Nanas house
