25.01.2022 En plein air today at the wonderfully beautiful and amazing #coombadjhaartstudio. Thank you @danfrogan50 for your stupendous hospitality.

25.01.2022 Local Clarence Valley artist Julianne Gosper drew a powerful rendition of the endangered Palm Cockatoo titled 'The Sentinel'. Julianne wrote; 'My fascination ...with palm cockatoos started years ago when I was very fortunate to see one of these elusive creatures in the wild at Cape York. They are the largest of all cockatoos and are the only species apart from humans that manufacture an implement to create an individual rhythmic drum beat.' The 2020 JADA exhibition will be on display until 22 November 2020. The gallery will be open seven days a week excluding public holidays during this period from 10:00 to 3:00pm. Entry to the gallery is by donation.

05.01.2022 Title - ‘Angwirri’ Frances Belle Parker 2021 Year - 2021 Artist Frances Belle Parker Yaegl Artist (Angwirri - pronounced Ung-wer-ri) means begin to talk in ...Yaygirr Language from Maclean NSW. Artist Statement The colours are inspired by the vast array of colours present in the Australian landscape and coastline. The brown linear design symbolises a mapping of country/coastline. The circle markings depict the 250+ Aboriginal Language groups present in Australia and the linear marks represent the 200 nationalities that call Australia home. By creating this work, it gave myself the opportunity to help tell a story that not only represents who we are as a nation but also to give people a wider understanding of Aboriginal Culture and how valuable it really is to our identity as a nation. Our sense of belonging to the land is something that is intrinsically embedded into our being, and as First Nations people we are responsible for sharing the truth of our history. #survivalday #invasionday #timetotalk #changethedate #sydneyoperahouse #aboriginalart #aboriginalaustralia #aboriginalartist #yaegl #yaeglartist #timetolisten #26jan2021 #acknowledge #dawnprojection

03.01.2022 Had a number of well known artists come out to Coombadjha last Monday organised by Niomi Sands & Sarah Nash from Grafton Regional Gallery - artists included Euan McLeod, Frances Belle Parker, Steve Lopes & Debby Taylor - it was interesting to see their interpretation of the Clarence Valley landscape - their work will culminate in a group exhibition to be held at GRG when opening the new extensions in 2021 - was a great day meeting all the artists as well as filmmaker Danny & photographer Cher with help from Bob Wellham
