24.01.2022 Lets Introduce your Executive Team for 2020: Secretary: FAYE PALING Other Roles: Team Manager Coordination and Support Being English, AFL was not a game we were... accustomed to. It was two years ago when a family member suggested our eldest son came to try it to build his confidence. In that same year I was asked to manager the team...with NO experience I thought why not? - a way of meeting other children and families. I never though it would bring so much joy and friendship; not only to my son but to our whole family! In our second year, our youngest son started superstars, my husband played masters and my niece and nephews continued to play - AFL has truly become a family tradition and way of life! It became apparent when I team managed again last year, that I have a slight obsession and need for structure, organisation, clear communication and fun... (I cant help it - ask my 9's parents from last year.. I'm also like it at home too! my poor husband and kids.....) With this I was approached for some ideas and to support not just as a team manger but within an executive role as secretary. I am extremely excited to be supporting not only my sons teams, but the whole of the juniors this year. Coomera Magpies for me isn't really about AFL (I'm still learning the rules) but a place that all children and families can come, where they feel a sense of belonging, a community they feel part of and can grown, learn and evolve as people. My promise to all our families this season it to be visible, to be approachable, ensuring that our club is run effectively and questions and concerns are resolved in a timely manner. I believe communication is the key - if we all feel involved and that we all matter - the only way this club will go is forward and will flourish!!! 21.01.2022 Let’s Introduce your Executive Committee for 2020 President: TROY TURNER Other Role: Coach for under 14.5’s... After being involved with the club for 5 years and having 3 kids here in the last few seasons It was suggested by the outgoing president to step up and have a go at running this place. My focus was to bring unity and stability back into the club. This is a great club with great families involved and feels like my second home. My joy in being here, is only matched by seeing the kids run out and play the game they love on a weekly basis which is the reason I do what I do. Looking forward to a great season ahead. Please don’t hesitate to come and speak to me and I’ll do my best with my committee to ensure you and your children have a great season!
21.01.2022 Lets Introduce your Executive Team for 2020: Vice President: DANIELLE NEWMAN I have been a part of the Coomera magpies for the last 10 years My eldest son start...ed when he was just 4 years old and is now playing under 16s I started off just like any of you , a parent enjoying watching their kids do something they love. From there I was a team manager and last year stepped into the secretary role. This year I am one of the Vice Presidents and my focus is on making girls footy a reality at the magpies and my other focus will be on providing the best canteen on the coast I look forward to seeing what 2020 brings Go pies See more

11.01.2022 Lets Introduce your Executive Committee for 2020: Vice President: ROB HAMILTON Other roles: Coaching Coordinator We all started by looking for a place that woul...d be fun for our children to play AFL. Coomera was recommended as we were searching for a club that was united, friendly and supportive to which the Magpies have lived up to. Our family joined the club 3 years ago and eagerly await the start of year 4, with the possibility of 2 boys joining the under 14s. Although we have had a tough year, it has provided the opportunity to see the tenacity, resilience and loyalty of our players, members and the Magpie Family. To which I give a huge thank you to our committee and volunteers. It was this united front and focus on our players that interested me in being a part to the team that will rebuild. I will do my best to fulfill the roles I have been assigned, while continuing to assist with training where possible. My fellow committee members have set clear goals and I plan to assist in reaching as many as we can. Be it introducing more female teams and building our player base, ensuring we are supportive and approachable, maintaining stability and focusing on the training of core skills. 09.01.2022 Lets introduce your Executive Team for 2020: Vice President: PHIL LITTLEJOHN Other Role: Coach Under 16.5's and Game Day Manager Coomera Magpies has been my sec...ond home for almost 10 years, through the years it has become home to my wife, three children, two nephews, brother and sister in law. This club is definitely part of our family life. Over this time, I have been coach, president, vice president, cleaner, barman, time keeper, you name it, I've done it!!! For me Coomera isn't just about sport, its about belonging, learning, growing and obviously having fun with other amazing children and their families. My roles for 2020 is to coach an exciting evolving under 16's team, being vice president and game day manager. I encourage all family members and children to come and say hello, if you have any feedback (positive or negative) questions or issues I am always around to chat and will ensure your problems, concerns or feedback is followed up. I love the Coomera Magpies and honestly believe one day we can become the home of AFL for both juniors and seniors on the North Gold Coast. See more

With this, your health and well-being is our priority and would like to communicate the following information in which will help us minimise the risk of spreading any type of infection. We are looking for children and families to represent the Coomera Magpies The photo, from their Fan Photoshoot, is used widely across many of their media platforms throughout the season and this is your opportunity to be a part of it for 2020!... The offer is open to adults and children (under 12’s must be accompanied by an adult please) of any age, the more variety the better, and will take place on Tuesday 14th January 2020 from 1.15pm A variety of SUNS merchandise will be supplied to those participating. It is extremely important to us as a club that our children are provided with the safest and best opportunities to learn and develop whilst at the club.
