25.01.2022 Hi mums, dads and girls. Sarah, Jake and Liam have kindly offered to be at the club tonight to help out for our last game. We can have the canteen open during the game and the bar open for a short time after the game to celebrate end of season and so we can have birthday cake for Emily. We will still need volunteers in the canteen to help Sarah so I'm happy to share that. We can bring sausages either for the BBQ or in the kitchen. We may also need a volunteer to help Jake... with being time keeper and score board. This is wonderful to have this assistance at such short notice so please let's all be there by 5pm latest for 6pm start and have a wonderful last game - details as per Shaun's previous post. 18.01.2022 Quick update re our last game of the season. Damian, Troy and Faye have agreement from the Carrara coach to move our last game forward from Sunday 4th of October long weekend to Wednesday night 30th September. This is great news because many players would have been unable to attend the last match. Also it will be a home game. Yay! AFL approval has been granted for the new date with a 6pm night game.

16.01.2022 It’s really important this week for all coaches managers families and friends to consider their capacity in helping and volunteering for next season planning is... in place and it’s important to see where the gaps are at our club. Please take a few minutes to look at our job role board for next year which will be outside the club tonight and Thursday and pop your name down where you can support. Please encourage all families to come and take a look - all input and support is valuable in all roles no matter how big or small Executive team nominations are open too! See more

08.01.2022 It's not quite end of season with one game left, but after the last couple of games in particular, we're feeling inspired to say a few words for Hof and the girls...We're sure we speak for all the parents when we say we love watching these girls play. Except for a couple of players with prior experience, these girls have started the season as possibly the most inexperienced team in the league overall. Many if not most of the girls have started the year not knowing the rules o...f the game and without even the fundamental skills of how to kick, handball and mark a football. To see how far they have come during this short season, both in terms of their skills and in their personal development, individually and as a whole team has been inspiring. They have been courageous, determined and hard working. Their skills are light years from where they began and they have kept fighting and improving week on week. They have never once given up despite the odds and they have shown excellent team spirit, fair-play and sportsmanship. Hof has been a fantastic coach all year and not only taught them the skills of the game, but he has taught them to play in the best spirit of the game. Always hard working, always fair, and always helping every girl to develop her skills and to strengthen and lift up the whole team. Their increased determination to play for Miley yesterday was a great example of their spirit. Their moments of magic increase week on week. Every team we've played more than once has made mention of how far they've come and so now with only one game left this season we're already excited to see them bring more of that magic again next year. Brooke & Shaun

01.01.2022 Hi everyone Just wanted to say a huge thank you all the girls that played for the team this year. Your commitment to learning the game and your attitude towards training and game day has been simply amazing, the way you girls have turned up week after week and bringing your willingness to learn and improve has been one the most rewarding things l've done in football. A big thanks to our sensational team managers Brooke and Shaun, you had to learn the ropes in a position that... most people wouldn't even consider doing. You've stood up for the team time and time again putting them first on every occasion. Your passion and commitment has made my job as coach very easy and enjoyable and l am truly grateful. To our leadership group Maddie H, Zoe, Aleisha and Lani, l can't thank you all enough. You all had different tasks through the year, Aleisha and Lani assisting with keeping motivation up at training and making sure the others are doing the right things made such a difference to the teams development. Maddie and Zoe have both been a pillar of strength for me as the year has gone on leading the team with authority, discipline and commitment and leading the team by example and always putting their heart and soul into every game, as did all the girls. A massive thanks to all the parents, grand parents, brothers and sisters and other family members who showed so much support for the team whether it was being the runner, running the water, being the goal umpire, ground Marshall, helping in the canteen, taking photo's or just standing on the sideline screaming in support of the girls... you have all been excellent and l thank you for your commitment to your team. I have totally enjoyed getting to know all the girls and we have all bonded together and become good friends and have hopefully built a legacy for girls football at our club and l am extremely proud of each and everyone of them. Kind regards Damian See more
