01.01.2022 Achieved a must do destination on Thursday. I went for a lovely visit out to Ken Edwards airstrip at Fig Tree YFIG (Irongate). It’s a gorgeous 400 metre strip... perched on top of a hill with views that go on forever. I first went (drove) out there last year to help turn an old grain silo into a bar. It was awesome to see the finished product and feel proud that I had helped. He and his wife Ruth (a marriage celebrant) have accomodation facilities that are just amazing. I understand they’ve had some very special weddings on their property. If you’re looking for a romantic Aviation get away you’ll be hard pressed to find better. Thanks Ken for the cup of coffee and fruitcake. It was a gorgeous morning. See more
