25.01.2022 CLUB CHAMPION We are excited to announce Liam Hard as our Club Champion for the 2019/20 cricket season. Playing every game, our vice-captain compiled 308 runs with a highest score of 70. As wicket keeper Hardy also completed 16 dismissals (4 stumpings). Winning the award named after club legend Tom Carroll, Liam now joins a long list of outstanding cricketers on our honour board, and tonight we raise a toast to him! Congratulations!

25.01.2022 BEST CLUBPERSON With our final announcement we are proud to announce Dale Temby as our Best Clubperson for 2019/20! A long-time member, Dale has supported the club endlessly over the last 12 months in further developing a fruitful partnership between us and the Keysborough Eagles golfers. Always willing to lend a hand with anything around the place, we love the support he provides the club and are ecstatic to utilise this award as a means of demonstrating our thanks.

20.01.2022 Good Evening All, The COVID-19 virus has caused considerable consequences for sporting bodies, their competitions and events. In accordance with recent best advice and recommendations from Cricket Australia, we have cancelled our Presentation Night for the 2019/20 season.... Whilst an unfortunate situation, the wellbeing of our players, supporters and their families remains paramount to everything we undertake as a club. We are currently working on an alternative way of celebrating the achievements of those within our club throughout the 2019/20 cricket season. We are also in the process of individually contacting all who have pre-paid for our Presentation Night and will be providing a full refund. Stay safe and stay tuned. 17.01.2022 A fantastic day on and off field on Saturday, with all 3 sides having wins and a great turn out for our past player's day. We now move to the final home and away round of the season, with our 1st and 3rd XI's preparing for finals, and our 2nds look to finish off a positive season with another victory. This Saturday we also celebrate everyone's efforts to this point by hosting our annual $1k Draw night. Tickets are still available.

14.01.2022 Vale David Crouch The Coomoora Cricket Club is today saddened by the passing of loyal clubman David Crouch. A lifelong Coomoora man, Chooka will be sadly missed and forever fondly remembered. Rest in peace.

10.01.2022 3 from 3! We've started 2021 the same way we finished 2020 with all 3 sides getting the chocolates today! The highlight of the day being a brilliant 174 run partnership between Aaron Taylor and Tyrell Panditharatne in our 2nds, including Tyrell's first century for the club! #kangakangakanga

09.01.2022 Unfortunately the 2019/20 cricket season has drawn to a close following our 2nd XI being knocked out of finals. We now move on to Presentation Night on Friday 27 March.

Coming from Noble Park, Mick is set to take the new ball and undoubtedly fit in fantastically with the rest of the group off field.

08.01.2022 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT The Coomoora Cricket Club is proud to announce the appointment of Abhinav Bhatia as playing Senior Coach for the 2020/21 season. Abhinav joins us on the back of a 400+ run season at Mulgrave Wheelers Hill CC, and following a successful period assisting and coaching at schools and other sporting clubs, is now primed and ready to take on his first senior coaching opportunity.... We can’t wait to get the green light to commence our pre-season, and look forward to providing further announcements in the coming days/weeks.

07.01.2022 The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Coomoora Cricket Club will be held on Saturday 6 June @ 11:00am. Venue and mode of meeting to be advised based on impending State Government announcements (whether in person or online via Zoom). All positions on the committee are open. All life members and financial members from the 2019/20 season are entitled to vote. Nominations must be accompanied by the nominees signature and the required two(2) club members signatures.... Nominations will be taken on the day, but for administrative purposes prior nominations are preferable. Nominations will be accepted via email should you wish to use this method. Please send to [email protected] . Positions up for election are as follows: President: Daniel Caughey has indicated that he will be standing again. Vice President: Vakshan Selvachandran has indicated that he will be standing again Vice President: Mick Hard has indicated that he will be standing again Secretary: Barry Aitken has indicated that he will not be standing, but Dale Vandendriesen has indicated that he will be standing Treasurer: Bryan Stephens has indicated that he will be standing again General Committee: Sean Francis, Sumit Sharma and Dale Vandendriesen (Secretary) have indicated that they will not be standing as General Committee. 03.01.2022 2ND XI AWARDS Huge congratulations to Raj Anmol Singh who took out both the batting and bowling averages for our 2s this season! Hardeep Singh took out the MVP award. Special mention also to Mayank Verma for his fantastic maiden century for the club, scoring 111 not out in Round 7!

02.01.2022 2020/21 CLUB CAPTAIN Following an apprenticeship under Rahoul Pankhania in 2019/20 we're proud to announce Liam Hard as our club captain for the upcoming season. Along with our other leaders and new coach, Liam is set to lead from the front as we attack the next exciting part of our proud history!

01.01.2022 IMPORTANT RE: AGM Based on current COVID-19 restrictions the Coomoora CC 2020/21 AGM will take place in an outside setting within the City of Greater Dandenong next Saturday 6 June at 11:00am. In order to work within designated restrictions, we require each and every club member who is attending to RSVP by midnight on Wednesday 3 June.... Please email [email protected] to inform us of your attendance. We will then inform you of the location of our meeting via email on Thursday 4 June.
