12.01.2022 Vale - Christine Walton Christine was in her second year as President of the Coonabarabran DPS Local & Family History Group Inc. at the time of her recent death on the 9th January, 2019. She was a conscientious President and a very keen member of our group. Christine willingly shared her vast knowledge of the history of the Binnaway and Coonabarabran areas. 12.01.2022 Members of the D.P.S. Local and Family History Group are thinking of our Committee member Alice Erickson who passed away in Coonabarabran on 18/6/2018, aged 78 years. Alice was the instigator and first President when the group was incorporated in 2002 and stayed a member until her passing. Alice was an enthusiastic family and local history researcher and worked tirelessly assisting people with their inquiries. Alice was very knowledgeable of where to find information both online and in libraries. Alice also enjoyed the social aspect and excursions with the group. Members of the group attended her Memorial Service held in the C.W.A. Hall on 25/6/2018 and the internment in the Wark Family Cemetery at Idakabul, Coonabarabran. We miss you Alice, Di. Salisbury.
