17.01.2022 Good morning all, I hope you are having a great day. We are very happy to report that things are slowly starting to return to normal after the effects of COVID-19. Most of our appointments are now face to face while still offering telephone appointments where necessary. We still have some restrictions in place when visiting the clinic, such as wearing a mask and social distancing, but we would love to see your smiling faces return.

12.01.2022 As everyone is aware the Visiting Medical Officer (VMO roster) is being drastically reduced in funding and this is of grave concern to our community. Unfortunately there has been a fatal incident in Gulgong just recently whereby a person has passed away at the Local MPS due to a shortage of VMO’S to their small community. CAHS need your support so our CEO Phil Naden can take this concern up with NSW Government. Please address any formal concerns to the CEO Phil Naden at Co...onamble Aboriginal Health Service 16-19 Castlereagh Street, Coonamble 2829 or drop into the AMS or Castlereagh Clinic to sign our petition. https://www.google.com.au//health-minister-demands-action-

04.01.2022 Too deadly for diabetes "It's getting rave reviews in other communities. If we don't try it we won't know," said Coonamble Aboriginal health Service CEO Phil Naden ahead of the launch of a new program to tackle Type 2 Diabetes in the Coonamble community. 'Too Deadly for Diabetes' is the brainchild of Ray Kelly, who many might recognise from The Biggest Loser Australia, where he was an external trainer in the first two seasons. The two contestants he trained both won in consec...utive years (Adro Sarnelli, 2006; Chris Garling, 2007). Following the show's success, Ray went on to author Winners Do What Losers Don’t and Full Plate, Less Weight as well as training National sports stars. The CAHS Board, Staff and community welcome Ray and we all can’t wait to see some good results. If anyone is interested in knowing more about the project please contact Coonamble Aboriginal Health Service.
