05.01.2022 Today at CHS we are celebrating R U OK? Day. This day is important as it supports looking out for each other, and a reminder that a conversation could change a life. This year students at CHS are participating in wellbeing activities and taking some time to care for themselves and each other. Activities for the day include: Oobleck experiment, yoga, meditation, minute to win it challenges, yarn circle, tig games, rock painting, tower challenge, mindful colouring in, canvas pa...inting, drumming, photo booth, face painting and pampering. Also, we will have a free BBQ for everyone, an ice-cream stand, cupcakes, and some special RUOK cookies! and more.... Our activities will run during session 3 and 4 and break times. Students are asked to come in yellow to support their awareness to this important cause. Please encourage your child to come along to our special wellbeing event and dress up! find something yellow to wear! We will be promoting to students at CHS that there is more to say after R U OK? When you notice signs that someone is struggling, take time to ask RUOK? If they say they’re not OK make time to listen, encourage action and check in. We are disappointed that at this time during Covid restrictions we are unable to have community join us in this fun event. However, in the future we hope to run this again with invitations extended to parents/carers and community. Please look out for photos from the day to come.
