12.01.2022 Have a great weekend:-)

12.01.2022 Happy Birthday to this legend, Coonatto Station wouldn’t be where it is today without your hard work!

11.01.2022 This time last year, the media was full about the terrible drought that was ripping through Australia leaving struggling families in dire need, then the bush fi...res hit soon after followed by the corona virus and the drought seemed to get pushed to the back. These photos were taken barely an hour out of Orroroo today, it clearly shows that the drought is still raging in many areas of the country. Now I know that people cant fix the drought, it cant be stopped with fire trucks or vaccinations but there is one thing we all can do, a lot of these farms have B&Bs and farm stays, with the school holidays soon here why not book one? I can guarantee that you wont get a more friendly welcome and while your at it, leave your shopping until you get out in the country, you cant go past the little town supermarket, the corner country butcher, country pubs are what legends are made off and theres no going past a small town cafe or bakery. So how about it? See more

08.01.2022 Did you know: Coonatto Station had a ship named after it? This ship was built in 1863 and was used mainly as a cargo vessel. In February 1876 the ship run aground near Beachy Head in the English Channel, where the remains can still be seen at low tides. The figurehead of the Coonatto ship was salvaged and is currently displayed at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum, Huskisson, NSW. There were also matchboxs and stamps created of the Coonatto ship, some of which we have been lucky enough to locate and purchase!

08.01.2022 Are you heading to the #FlindersRanges and #Outback for a Station Stays SA experience in the holidays? Please remember that every piece of land is someones backyard, ask for permission to camp and treat it respectfully. Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but memories.
