18.01.2022 Its not just the Australian Outdoor Recreation Industry in trouble. Worldwide the Department of Education(s) need to acknowledge the value our industry adds to education and the school experience, and work with local and federal government in making sure we are here at the end of this- instead of ignoring us. Otherwise its a very real possibility that in the future we could all be saying "Remember the days when kids went on school camp?"... 14.01.2022 So lately we have had ALOT of Rain..and are so happy to see the lake fuller than it has been in years. These photos are comparisons of times over the last 2.5 yrs, and last week... the 2nd last was when the lake was at it lowest and we had to cancel water activities mid last year. 03.01.2022 This is a very important message we agree with strongly. Outdoor recreation is of enormous benefit both mentally and physically for children; hopefully when Victoria emerges from the other side of the current situation we are able to continue to provide such a valuable resource to kids who have been through incredibly tough times in 2020.

03.01.2022 As we feared earlier in the year, because of Covid-19 our industry is in serious trouble. No camps or schools in Aus have received any indication from DET about when camps may return, or any advice as to what to do in the interim. We have no income - but the bills dont stop coming. Already we have seen the closure of many smaller camps, and unless assistance and information is provided soon there are sure to be more.... There is also a roll on effect from this - a large majority of camps are based in regional Australia, providing much needed jobs and supporting local small businesses with our purchases. When we have no income- neither do they. Please share, and support our industry and in turn the people we support. How you can help: -Talk to your local members and push for them to support our small businesses. -Parents, dont give up on the possibility of your child attending camp in 2020. -Contact your local camp/s and see if they offer private group bookings for your next getaway/wedding/birthday/reunion; there is so much we can offer. -Support small business, buy local.
