24.01.2022 Good Morning! As most of you might know, this fine building will come to an end as it's currently known, on October 31st. Our good mates at the Co-op Coffee Sho...p have already closed shop, and so there is a big open space downstairs between now and then. For the month of August, this space is getting used for the SALA exhibition 'Possession' with the opening night this Wednesday the 5th August. But beyond that, it's anyone's game... In short, we are looking for someone or some group, who may want to utilise this space for a pop-up style shop/space for the month of September through to half way through October, where we start dismantling the joint and making way for our big closing night party. Rent will not be free, but quite cheap comparative to other shop fronted city locations, and negotiable upon further discussion. Use of the serving area in the photos is also negotiable, and can either be dismantled before or after the available time period. Depending on interest, we can also do one day, or weekend market stall events or exhibitions. It's all very flexible! Any ideas that will complement both MMA out the back, and Backwater Records upstairs, is what we're after. Please PM the MMA page, or email [email protected] to let us know of your idea, and we can go from there. Spread the word!

16.01.2022 I found a gorgeous little arty cafe at Glenelg run by a pair of dedicated and lovely people - Kat & Steve - who also serve a delicious Patio coffee. They have great ethics and care about community, have great siphon coffee, a bunch of different dietary requirements catered for, and they serve a mean chai! They also very kindly featured us as their 'cafe of the day'. Check 'em out if you're at the bay - Cristel x

As the city gets quiet this time of year, and we have some exciting plans to roll out, we thought we'd close a couple of weeks before christmas to give everyone a hearty rest before we open again in 2015. A huge thanks to all the beautiful people who supported us this year - it's been a fantastic start to Adelaide's first co-operatively owned & run cafe! 13.01.2022 The Co-op Coffee Shop is looking for a small group of volunteers to promote us to the world (or at least some regular going city folk) so we can take this little social enterprise of ours to the next level! To begin with we are seeking a one month commitment, weekly meetings plus a few hours of direct marketing work, with the aim to start within the next week or two. Most of the work will be implementing ideas we have had but we will also be brainstorming potential future strategies. This is a completely volunteer gig, but if you like us and we like you we will be happy to give you a glowing reference or just a really warm heartfelt hug!

12.01.2022 We have some sad news Co-op friends. We have found out our lease is not going to be renewed later in the year. Since we have no intention of continuing our hard work to build up this awesome co-operative space in order to benefit private business we have decided that this will be our last week of trade. So come in and have one last coffee and one more of Jodie and Irene's fabulous sweets so that we can say our last week was our best yet! Thanks for all your support and encouragement over the last couple of years of this project! We really appreciate all of your support.

01.01.2022 Happy New Year Co-op friends! We're doing a few small works at The Co-op Coffee Shop before we re-open this year to make service a little easier and create a nicer vibe in the space. We are in need of a few bits and pieces to finish things off, so if you have any of the following sitting around, give us a shout: - 10 litres of black indoor house paint - 10 litres of white indoor house paint - any other bits of coloured paint you want to off load... - kitchen grade silicone for sealing benches - timber suitable for bench tops Thank you all so much for your support in 2014, we're planning on an even bigger and better year in 2015!
