16.01.2022 An Ultra Safe Refuelling System, for a Prime Mover? The Coopers team were engaged to assist with the upgrade of some prime movers to ensure the trucks were mine site ready. Part of the scope involved installing a Wiggins JNX refuelling system, which would allow for the 3 fuel tanks to be refuelled without the possibility of overfill that is often attributed to pressurised or float-based systems. Our technical team attended site, reviewed the requirements and provided a full... parts list to allow the systems to be installed. In this instance the fabricator had the labour to perform the work themselves, so once the systems were ready to go, the Coopers team returned to site and provided technical guidance on the works required. The fleet of prime movers were upgraded, commissioned and are now at work in a mine site with all parties able to rest assured that the patented Wiggins JNX technology will ensure that refuelling can be achieved without risk of tank damage, environmental impact and at no risk to operator safety. 11.01.2022 Coopers and the Newman Cricket Association, 2 pillars of the Pilbara! As part of our ongoing support to the local community, the Coopers Newman branch donated a Weber barbeque for the Newman Cricket Association to raffle off as the first price part of their fundraiser. With 500 tickets sold the fundraiser helped to cover some of the costs for attendance to the country week carnival. The club was able to maintain their status in section E, but it was not without its challenges.... The club won their first two games and managed to make the semi-final, where our depth found us out. With a squad of 15 originally, dwindled to 11 for the week of five games. Two games were played with 10 which was a big ask. I think we can all agree that given all of the challenges they faced, the team performed remarkedly well. 09.01.2022 Making dreams come true Peter Jeffery joined Torque Industries 5 years ago and has held the position of Territory Manger, responsible for external customer support, business development and sales. As a result of our continued growth an Electrical Apprentice position was created and Peter immediately expressed a strong interest. For the last 15 years Peter has dreamed of having a career in electrical and automation and now his dreams have come true.... Peter will join the electrical team with Bill Rufus, Andy Little and Tristan Maloney. Andy and Tristan both completed their electrical apprenticeships with Torque Industries.
