23.01.2022 Thank you to all for the love and support for our annual Santa lolly run. We do apologise for the repeated 5 incident calls during our run but we must always keep them a priority to ensure the safety of our community. We hope we managed to still make an appearance to your street. ... Merry Christmas to you all and have a happy safe and most importantly healthy new year! Ps - thank you to the kind person/S who donated a bag full of bags of lollies, and left at the station. Much appreciated!!

17.01.2022 The fire danger in our area tomorrow, Sunday 29 November will be Severe and a total fire ban will be in place from midnight. In a Total Fire Ban no fire may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended. Under these conditions leaving early is the safest option for your survival. Well prepared homes that are actively defended can provide safety but only stay if you are physically and mentally prepared to defend in these conditions. https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au//Ligh...ting-A-Fire-Quick-Facts-A3. 14.01.2022 Here's wishing each and every one of you a happy healthy and positive new year. Last year certainly had its challenges, on this day last year our brigade was on route to Lithgow, we started last year off doing what we love to do! Happy New Year!

13.01.2022 It is really sad that this post isn’t a holiday blessing but rather a plea for whoever it is that continues to come to the fire station and do burn outs on the front pad to STOP it. We worked very hard to get the money to put that slab down for our brigade and it certainly wasn’t for the purposes of burn outs. We are all volunteer members and we have spent countless hours and energy cleaning that pad off because we need to keep a clean tidy and respectable image for the com...munity. So in future if you would keep your fully sick burnt outs off of our area that would be great!

11.01.2022 Know what to do when you hear a siren or see the flashing blue or red lights of an approaching emergency vehicle? When you hear a siren or see the flashing blu...e or red lights of an approaching emergency vehicle: * Give way to the emergency vehicle if you are stopped do not move until it is safe to proceed, even if the traffic light is green. If you are moving, you must slow down and stop if necessary to avoid a collision with the emergency vehicle. * Move out of the way as soon as you can safely do so * Move over as much as you can to the left-hand side of the road or, if possible, move onto the road shoulder or breakdown lane. On multi-lane roads, try to move into the left lane to let the emergency vehicle pass * Drivers on both sides of the road should be prepared to move out of the path of emergency vehicles * Emergency vehicles with sirens sounding or lights flashing responding to urgent situations are not required to follow the rules, as long as it is safe for them to do so. Drivers should always be extra cautious when they see flashing lights or hear sirens. https://roadsafety.transport.nsw.gov.au//approaching-emerg

06.01.2022 Fact: Bush fires are unpredictable and in dangerous conditions, you may not get an Emergency Alert message in time. It’s important that you stay up to date on c...onditions in your area and that you have made a bush fire survival plan. Leaving early is your safest option.
