25.01.2022 So we have an exciting order arriving Wednesday afternoon that our indoor plant enthusiasts will love. As part of our order, we have hopefully secured 15 of the highly sought after WATERMELON PEPEROMIA in 150mm pots. They will retail for $49.95 which is highly competitive with (if not cheaper than) online plant stores and weve paid the freight for you. Due to their popularity, we will take orders and hold them for 48 hours. If they are not collected in that time, they will... go to the next person on the list or back out for sale. Our supplier recommends keeping them somewhere warm in your house because they are cold sensitive. Also, keep them on the dry side - do not overwater! Just like so many other families, we had lots of marks on the walls from two active kids. Some were five years old and wed tried to remove them using other cleaning products to no avail (were talking about the marks here, not the kids ). Well, theres no excuses for us anymore! We know the joy and peace that outdoor and indoor gardening can bring to peoples lives and it has been wonderful sharing this with you over the past year. We hav...e appreciated every sale and punched the air every time weve fulfilled specific orders with good quality plants; our best effort was getting in a tree that a lovely lady had been trying to find for nine years! NEW STOCK Weve had a few deliveries this week of natives, indoor and outdoor plants, seedlings and fruit trees. We are trying some new varieties again plus popular winter favourites such as daphnes, azaleas, ericas, waratahs, various grasses, sea daisies, apple and lemon trees, magnolias, chamaleuciums...and more. There are heaps of bottle babies (which are already disappearing) and some bigger indoor plants for those wanting height. We have sourced hard to find luculias (that need to be protected from the frost) and some out there plants for those wanting to grow their own Christmas tree or one of the worlds tallest trees which will grow 90 metres tall! CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SOME PLANT ORDERS At the moment we are doing our best to fulfil customers plant orders from suppliers who deliver to Yarram for a reasonable price. We were scheduled to head to Melbourne last weekend for plants however the second corona outbreak changed our plans. We are temporarily limiting travel to Melbourne and do not want to bring the virus back to our families, workers, customers, community or shire. As much as we love our gardens, we dont feel that risking everyones health for a plant or two is responsible. As soon as it is safe, we will return to the city so that we can grab plants to fill gaps in our range and fulfil any outstanding orders. The new program is more efficient and should make it quicker for us to complete your pool or spa tests. During our training, we also learned about the release of Baracuda’s great new app: Smart Dose. It shows you step-by-step how to do your pool or spa tests at home using Baracuda’s test strips and then recommends what to do about levels that are not ...optimal. Baracuda’s recommendation is that you do this test strip process once a week and then come in-store for a full pool or spa water analysis each month.
