23.01.2022 Thank you for everyone who applied for the Co-op Soc Subcommittee this year. We were overwhelmed with the quality of all the applicants, which made picking this years subcommittee extremely difficult. If you were not selected for the subcommittee this year, that doesnt mean you cant get heavily involved with Co-op Soc or even run for exec at the end of the year. Many members of the current exec team were not part of subcommittee last year. That being said we would like... to congratulate the UNSW Co-op Soc subcommittee for 2020. 19.01.2022 Hi everyone, Due to the prevalent spread of COVID-19, ARC has encouraged all societies to take precautionary measures through either rearranging or cancelling all upcoming events in public spaces. It has been a very difficult decision for the 2020 Co-op Exec team but unfortunately it has been decided that all events scheduled in for both the rest of Term 1 and early Term 2 will be postponed indefinitely to a time where it is safe for us to continue.... With great sadness, as a society, we believe that this is the most appropriate measure to take at this time in order to ensure the health, safety and well-being of every individual and those around them. However, in no way does this mean that all social efforts and bonding time such as the buddy program will be stopped. We are trying out best to adapt to this situation by coming up with new ways of delivering fun and engaging activities online. If you have any ideas for online events, be sure to post in comments or message the Co-op Soc Facebook Page! Thank you all for understanding and make sure to keep an eye out for any updates we will be posting! Stay safe Co-op Exec team 2020

18.01.2022 On behalf of Co-op Soc and Share the Dignity, wed like to congratulate every team who has participated in the Share the Dignity Case Competition! Share the Dignity is a charity organisation focused on providing sanitary products to homeless women and girls experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, living in remote Indigenous communities or extreme poverty. In addressing the issues of access to sanitary items, education around menstrual health and hygiene, and removing t...he stigma associated with menstruation, the teams were tasked with creating an app, game or questionnaire to promote the campaign #PERIODPRIDE. We were blown away by each presentation and were incredibly impressed with each teams unique marketing strategies and solutions. After deliberation over each teams slide deck submissions and presentations, we are excited to announce the winners! Winning team: Olivia and Anna High commended: Jodie, Miranda, Hannah and Laurene These innovative solutions will be used in Share the Dignitys upcoming period pride campaign with the help of social media. Thank you to all the teams for competing and donating their creativity to come up with sustainable ideas contributing towards real issues faced in our society. If any team would like to receive feedback on their presentations or slide deck submissions, please email us at [email protected]
