24.01.2022 Year 6 have been commended on their knowledge and respectful behaviour at the War Memorial today. Many staff members went out of their way just to say thank you for being a well briefed group of students, a pleasure to guide. They also performed an impromptu recital of 'I was Only 19' in front of the pool of reflection. Other schools and the general public were in awe. The crowd grew. So much so that the director of the memorial, Dr. Brendan Nelson, appeared halfway through t...he performance. On completion, he requested a copy of the video for the War Memorial and a copy for John Schuman, the writer of the song. Well done Cooran leaders. Showing the way again.
