25.01.2022 Well it's time to announce our lucky winners for the month of April, and we're really grateful to everyone that has shared and interacted with us on our new page. We think you are all winners, so thank you everyone and we would love you to stay with us on the page here for all sorts of updates, fun and content over time :) Cooroy's No Worries Caravan and Motor Home Parking is owned by Mr. John Morrow, a former dairy farmer, and more recently ran a nursery from the site here ...that is now intended to be built into a caravan park over time. A wonderful country gent who will do everything possible to make your stay an enjoyable one :) This is probably the best way to describe us here, and we feel that a void has been filled in this area to give travellers an affordable option on their travels: Unhitch safely & explore the Sunshine Coast. Peaceful, tranquil & friendly environment. Lovely plants and trees. Flat, dry & vast grounds to suit privacy levels. Puddle free with Owner/Manager on site. Pet Friendly. Restock, service, refuel, RSL, Hotel, Golf & more 2km away. Hospital, medical, vet close by. Dump site is only 10km away also. Happy hours when numbers permit. Trouble free! Worry free! Donation of $5 p/p p/n for upkeep of the beautifully maintained 'ex-nursery' grounds. Find us also on Wikicamp, Camps Australia app (Hard copy in 2015), caravancaravan.com, Youcamp.com & Freecamps Australia. We welcome Caravan & Motor Home clubs also, and would love to see you soon :) Cooroy's No Worries Caravan & Motor Home Parking (S/C vehicles) 154 Holts Road - 1.3KM off the M1 Please phone John for any enquiries you may have on 0411786247 To the winners then!!! Please join us in a 'Friday Night Congratulations' for our 1st prize winner, Jan Otto Buechse!!! Congratulations Jan. You've won a $50 Caltex fuel voucher and a 3 night stay here for 2 people any time until the end of 2014 :) And we've decided to award four runner up prizes instead of two, and these lucky winners win a 3 night stay here for 2 people. The lucky recipients are Melanie Plunkett, Joy Littleford, Katie Young & Ian Plant :) Please contact us via the message page for details on how to receive your prize, and for everybody else, we would love to invite you to stay a night free when staying 2 nights or more; once again valid until the end of 2014 :) You only need quote 'Wallaby' when booking or upon arrival simply mention that you saw it on our facebook page. Thanks again everyone! It's been fun and have a great weekend!!
24.01.2022 The flowers are making a beautiful show at the moment
23.01.2022 Have a wonderful & peaceful weekend everyone :)
23.01.2022 FREE TRAIN TRAVEL to the Queensland Caravan, Camping, Touring & Holiday show from Cooroy and other Queensland Rail City Network stations :) A massive eventto be held at the RNA Showgrounds, Bowen Hills in Brisbane 4-10 June Perhaps you would like to book yourself in here and travel to Brisbane & return by train at no cost, then return to enjoy your evening or longer here at low cost . Parking can be a nightmare in the city, but it's 'No Worries' here. You'll need to prepay ...your tickets online for the show though to gain free train travel Lots of information is available for the show via the link below, and we'd love to see you too :) http://www.caravanqld.com.au/
22.01.2022 Perhaps we could change the lyrics of the classic Aussie 'Kookaburra song' to 'Kookaburra sits on the old fence post' instead of 'gum tree' :) They can be found each day enjoying one of their favourite spots on the grounds here; and thanks to Australia Zoo, here's a little snippet from a great article on their website about our pretty and iconic 'Laughing Kookaburra'. According to an Aboriginal legend, the kookaburra's famous chorus of laughter every morning is a signal for t...he sky people to light the great fire that illuminates and warms the earth by day. The legend captures the imagination, but the true function of the familiar cacophony is to advertise the territory of this bold bird. The Laughing Kookaburra is the largest of the kingfisher family, but unlike most of its relatives, it is sedentary and occupies the same territories the year round. - You can read the full article here :) http://www.australiazoo.com.au/our-anim/amazing-animals// Have a great day!!
22.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. Hope you all had a great weekend :) Has anyone got a funny caption for this picture?
21.01.2022 Have you seen this Tvan 2013 Murranji? We invest so much time, love and money in our mobile homes; getaway vehicles, and how horrible it would be to wake up and see that your pride and joy had been stolen by a thief in the night! The Stolen Caravan Registry lists many vehicles people are trying to recover, and we'd love you to have a browse to see if there are any that you've recognised on your travels. You may be parked up next to one of them right now. It's a beautiful day ...here in Cooroy with rain forecast over the next few days though. No stepping out into puddles of mud here though thankfully :) Happy travels!
21.01.2022 Mum's are half the reason we are here and have a share in twice the reason why we love them so much :) Happy Mother's day! Enjoy your day and all the spoils you deserve :)
21.01.2022 A laugh a day keeps the doctor away :)
20.01.2022 Thanks to Family Going Places for letting us know about this great website warning of problems with quality water supply in towns you may be travelling to. Let's join their facebook page, Free Water Alerts and help to contribute if we hear of any such cases:) http://www.freewateralerts.com/
20.01.2022 We'd love to hear of your experiences at the Australia Zoo in Beerwah here on the Sunshine Coast :) How many of you have been there? It's another wonderful attraction close by to the grounds here, and at only 45 minutes south of Cooroy, why not spend the night or longer here where you can safely leave your caravan, motorhome or 5th wheeler etc. whilst spending the day happily. You may also enjoy taking in the scenic Glasshouse Mountains along the way. A donation of $5 per per...son per night for the upkeep of the grounds here is all it will cost you any time of the year :) Australia Zoo is a 100-acre (40 ha) zoo located in Queensland on the Sunshine Coast at Beerwah. Visitors will see a wide variety of birds, mammals, and reptiles, and can view crocodile feedings, hand-feed elephants, and have hands-on animal encounters. You'll love the experience! Australia Zoo was opened by Bob and Lyn Irwin on 3 June 1970 under the name Beerwah Reptile Park. Their son Steve had helped his parents since childhood to care for crocodiles and reptiles and to maintain the growing number of animals in the zoo. In 1982 the park was renamed to the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park and the area was doubled with the purchase of another 4 acres (1.6 ha). Steve and Terri then changed the name of their now growing wildlife park to Australia Zoo. Australia Zoo won the Australian Tourism Awards for 20032004 in the category Major Tourist Attraction. In 2004, the Australian Animal Hospital was opened next to the zoo to help with animal care and rehabilitation. More recently, the zoo was a finalist in two categories for the 2010 Queensland Tourism Awards. Hope you can visit them soon :)
19.01.2022 Did you know we were 'pet friendly' here? So that means Jack, Jesse, Daisy, Tiny, Bear; even PussPuss and Fluffy are welcome :) We know how important your little or large companions are to you, and are happy to be 'pet friendly' with so many grounds that aren't. We only ask that they are well behaved and cleaned up after. There is a veterinary clinic just a few kilometres away here also.

19.01.2022 Have a great weekend everyone :) We hope the weather is pleasant wherever you are.. Do you put the flags up or decorate your vans and mobile homes when State of Origin comes around? With a little blue, and a little Maroon, it looks like these folks love their State of Origin on the road :)
19.01.2022 Do you have this chronic condition?

16.01.2022 Dear Traveler's ,on my last post the south bound exit to Cooroy should read 230 B and NOT 237 Kind Regards John
16.01.2022 They called this the flying tortoise! What a great looking motor home :) It got me thinking about speeds people travel with their towed vans or motor homes. How do people best control the 'sway factor'? It's hard to keep up with all the technology out there and there are some horror stories unfortunately.
16.01.2022 Have a great weekend folks, and may every track lead you on a new adventure :)
15.01.2022 Hi Traveler's ,I've just been informed that the exit south bound coming from Gympie has changed yet AGAIN it reads now EXIT 237 Cooroy Noosa after that just put in you GPS 154 Holts Rd. it will direct you to our site. If you miss that turn off you will have to travel to the next one at Eumundi and turn around .Sorry about all the inconvenient but unfortunately the road work will be ongoing for some time yet.Regards John
14.01.2022 The Moon going over Cooroy Mountain

13.01.2022 Hi Traveler's ,we currently take bookings for Easter still some powerd spots available .happy traveling regards John
13.01.2022 Mmmmm... Nom Nom! Who'd like some delicious baked goods from Richies Bakery in Cooroy & Tewantin. Yummy old fashioned lines within a large range of traditional, gourmet baking, sweet treats, and even a 'QLD or NSW' Pie for State Of Origin night :) One of the many favourite stops for travellers here, and you can find Richies in Cooroy a couple of minutes away at 20B Maple St Cooroy, and in Tewantin at 108 Poinciana Ave :)
13.01.2022 If you're travelling to Cooroy, you might enjoy a spot of golf :) The Cooroy Golf Club is only a few minutes away from the grounds here.
13.01.2022 Newest addition to our equipment for your convenience a DRYER
13.01.2022 Good morning :) For only $20 a month you could access discounts from batteries to cooking pots and towing courses thanks to http://campercoupons.com.au/ run by our friends, Experience Caravanning and Camping. It could be worth a look.
12.01.2022 Wow! That's a nice view! Halls Gap, Grampians in Victoria. What's your favourite spot around Australia to Park up your Motor Home, Caravan or pitch a tent?
12.01.2022 Cheapest Gas bottle fills this side of the black stump :) You'll find great variety at Sunshine Mitre 10 in Cooroy. I picked up an adult camping chair for $6.95 last week and filled a 4kg gas bottle for $13. They're right in the centre of town at 18 Maple Street.
11.01.2022 How do you fancy this 1953 Airfloat?
11.01.2022 Good Morning :) It's very pleasing to see Queensland recognising the need and actively looking for solutions to accommodate people on the road now. Realeased only in March this year, the 'Queensland Camping Options Toolkit' is a comprehensive 78 page document designed for councils/local government to have everything at their fingertips to help them act on the shortage of accommodation for travellers, and swing into action. It's such a hot topic around the place, and you'll b...e sure to find much to talk about after reading parts or the whole of the document. It's well laid out with statistics, graphs, survey results and more, but most importantly it's a really good step in the right direction :) Have a great week! http://www.dtesb.qld.gov.au//qdts-camping-options-toolkit.
11.01.2022 Happy Monday everyone, and hope you had a great weekend out there :) Could I ask people's thoughts on how far is a comfortable distance to travel off a main highway for a 1 night stopover? Is travelling a distance of.. say 15-20km for example, only something you would do if you plan to stay more than 1 night? What are some of the considerations? Timetables, rising fuel prices, time of the day, good reviews etc. Thanks very much :)
11.01.2022 Share if you find the mistake. Like if you feel silly like me and can't work it out :)
11.01.2022 Let's have our own 'State of Origin' :) Not a competition, but an invitation to share with others on the page a photo of your favourite camping spots, or even where you're parked up right now. Australia is a magnificent country, Let's share it :) I'm a little biased of course and would say the best is in Cooroy, but here's a picture of the Diamond Head camping area to start us off. It can be found at Diamond Head Rd (Coral VilleLaurieton Rd) on the north side of Diamond Head.

10.01.2022 A little reminder for the #caravanners amongst us, the importance of having a 'Safety Checklist'. Remember the space shuttle accident, where a simple 'O' Ring was the cause? Do you have your own custom 'Safety Checklist'? We'd love for you to share it here. Such an important thing to have when travelling. http://experiencecaravanningandcamping.com.au//caravan-saf
