19.01.2022 Coronavirus Update In response to the increasing alerts regarding Covid 19 we would like to update our valued clients on the procedures we are putting in place to help protect everyone. We are open, and will remain open throughout this crisis to be there for you and your animals during this trying time. We would like to notify you on the following steps we are taking moving forward:... We have increased the amount of Alcohol-based hand sanitizers throughout the clinic. Please use this on arrival and departure. We ask that only 1-2 family members come to the clinic for consultations at any one time as our consult room is relatively small If the waiting room is full, please wait outside and we will notify you when the vet is ready to see you Our cleaning procedures have not changed, however we are increasing the frequency of cleaning between clients on a daily basis. We use very affective cleaning products that are adequate for killing Coronavirus and many other infectious diseases Please do not take offence if we may ask extra questions when taking a booking for your animals in regards to human health. Please phone ahead if you are unwell but still require medical attention for your animals. We will make alternative arrangements to meet with you If you have travelled overseas recently, please make our staff aware of this so we can take extra care when seeing to you and your animals We ask if possible our clients to use Paywave when paying a bill at our front counter. Worms are one of the most common causes of serious illness in puppies, so its important to treat your puppy for worms. ... If you have had a litter of puppies at home, be sure to start worming the pups from 2 weeks of age and continuing 2 weekly. If you have welcomed a new puppy into your home, its best to find out the last time the pup was wormed then put a worming schedule in place. You need to worm your puppy at: 2 weeks 4 weeks 6 weeks 8 weeks 10 weeks 12 weeks (3 months) 4 months 5 months 6 months Then 3 monthly on going! 14.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: As discussed in our previous posts, we are adapting to the rapidly changing situation with Covid-19. As such, we are trying to limit the number of people through the practice in an effort to comply with government regulations on social distancing and essential services. At this stage the following is considered essential:... 1 If there is a problem with your animal that requires surgery or treatment. 2 - If your Dog is due/overdue for Parvovirus vaccination (C3). 3 Cat vaccinations especially if your cat is an outside cat. 4 Desexing in certain situations please call to discuss. We are also keeping a list of patients that will need procedures done once restrictions are relaxed. These include: 1 Kennel cough vaccinations where the animal is not being boarded. 2 Proheart injections. There is a 3 month window where we can safely delay this treatment. We also have oral and spot on treatments available. 3 General health checks where there is no required vaccination and nothing that you are concerned about. 4 Nail clips and general grooming. If your animal is being seen for another problem and they are able to be given the non-essential vaccination or treatment then this can be carried out at the Vets discretion. While we have been deemed an essential service during this crisis, we do need to adapt to protect you, our valued clients, as well as our staff and families. As of today, Monday 30th March 2020, We have instituted the following:... 1 Please call before coming to the clinic for any reason we can then prepare for your visit or have your medication ready for you. Our number is 69422033. 2 We are no longer accepting cash payments internet banking or paywave are our preferred options. If these are not possible we will discuss other options with you. 3 Our front screen door will be locked to help with current social distancing requirements please ring the bell for assistance OR wait in the car and call us to let us know you are here. 4 Only one person should bring an animal to the clinic there is no need for multiple family members to attend. 5 Non essential procedures will be delayed wherever possible we will help you to decide if the procedure is necessary or can wait until less uncertain times. 6 As previously stated DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC IF YOU ARE UNWELL.
