23.01.2022 They're lightweight, and the design possibilities are almost endless, but how durable are bentwood rings? It's the question that pops up most often. The wood it...self is sealed with a protective finish, so with a bit of care they can last for a long time. A few hints on keeping your ring in tip top shape. They're water resistant. Don't submerge in water for long periods. Handwashing is ok, but I wouldn't wear it while showering or washing the dishes. Do not wear while doing any heavy lifting. The grain of the wood is oriented for maximum strength, but excessive pressure may cause the ring to snap, so take it off before going to the gym/worksite. The finish is scratch resistant, but will mark if struck hard enough, so avoid wearing in situations that will expose it to possible damage. Basically, while not as durable as a typical metal ring, they have the potential to last a very long time if they're shown a bit of love. #cootamundrachristmasgiftmarket

This print was created from a series of drawings & photographic images from my studio garden. I watched the Currawong searching for building material to create a new early winter nest. The Australian Crested Pigeons had relocated to the pine trees opposite when the...ir deciduous summer tree lost its leaves. The Currawong spent three days repurposing the nest twig by twig. I love to watch life in the garden from the studio window. Hand printed with eco friendly aqua inks on 100% natural pearl coloured European Linen. The reverse is quality black twill 100% cotton.
