23.01.2022 Today marks the beginning of Speech Pathology Week. To celebrate and raise awareness, our Speech Pathologists will be taking over our Facebook page for the week. Our Speech Pathologists are passionate about supporting people to communicate with confidence! The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has highlighted the challenges faced by Australians with communication disability. Communication is a basic human right and Speech Pathology Week seeks to make Australians aware of this.
23.01.2022 Annalee is one of our newest speech pathologists to join our team and is passionate about paediatric communication, mealtimes and has an interest in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She loves to support all customers, like Jaxon, and their families to reach their goals. Jaxon’s mum said, Since starting weekly speech therapy Jaxon has been communicating a lot more, he is non-stop talking.

18.01.2022 This is Elissa, a Cootharinga Speech Pathologist who is passionate about working alongside paediatrics and adults to help them thrive towards personal goals and communicate for themselves with confidence. Elissa is working with Keegan to develop his communication and play skills through the use of keyword sign, a PODD book and learning to use verbal language. Keegan has enjoyed using sign to talk about balloons with Elissa.

04.01.2022 Throw back to earlier this year in Mount Isa when Jordan who was learning guitar with Support Worker, Anthony. Jordan continues to play the guitar and loves singing along - 'Let it go' being one of her favorites. Jordan is getting really good at playing Happy Birthday and enjoys strumming the guitar with a chord buddy that helps her play chords with one finger while she is learning where to place her fingers.
