12.01.2022 Severe to extreme heatwave conditions are forecast to develop across NSW this long weekend. Some locations in the southeast of the state may reach extreme heatw...ave conditions, as they have not experienced this kind of heat for some time. This heat will lead to increased fire dangers, particularly across southern districts (including the Riverina, South Coast, Snowy Mountains, Illawarra and along the southern ranges) on Sunday and Monday. Everyone is at risk of heat-related illness during hot weather and heatwaves. Follow these simple steps from NSW Health to stay healthy in the heat: Drink plenty of water Stay cool with a fan or air-conditioner Avoid going out in the hottest part of the day #heatwave #beattheheat
