13.01.2022 Today Friday 28th August is Wear It Purple Day! On Wear It Purple Day, we celebrate the spirit of LGBTQI+ young people and let them know that they’re valued, supported, and allowed to be proud of who they are, simply by wearing purple. This year's theme is 'We Are The Change' which envisions the importance of encouragement, empowerment and emphasis on making effective change for LGBTQI+ folks and all minority groups. Copperfield College is a ‘Safe School’, meaning we strive ...to foster a safe environment that is supportive and inclusive of our LGBTQI+ community. We stand against bullying and discrimination of LGBTQI+ people. Have a Happy Wear It Purple Day! If they say they’re not OK, make time to listen, encourage action and check in. When you ask R U OK?, you’re not expected to fix their problems or know the best way to help and support. But you can listen to what they’re saying. Remember if you’re worried about someone you can tell a teacher, school counsellor or trusted adult. R U OK? Has more tips and resource...s that guide you on what to say when they’re not OK.
