25.01.2022 Last week year 3/ 4 and Ms Davy acknowledged Remembrance Day- Lest We Forget. We have been engaged in learning experiences for NAIDOC Week. We have read and responded to a variety of Dreamtime stories and used these stories as inspiration for writing and visual arts. Year 3/ 4 presented the Dreamtime story How the Birds got Their Colours, each student created an artwork depicting a bird that was of personal significance.



25.01.2022 Our smoking ceremony was a wonderful experience for everyone today. The yarning circle was also a great success. More photos to come.

25.01.2022 TUESDAY IS A CASUAL CLOTHES DAY. Students are to wear a white shirt on the day as they will be getting sprayed with colour, and bring some spare clothes to get changed into to go home. Get ready for a blast of colour! The Colour Explosion Run is 4 days away! We’re excited to participate in the School Colour Explosion Run.... The 24th of November will be a very bright and fun day. 24.01.2022 Today was a powerful day with many students identifying what fills their buckets. We now have a buddy bench where students can go to if they feel alone and need a friend to chat too. We had some wonderful students supporting each other today. Ms Jacqui lead our school in our daily mindfulness activity at the end of recess. Coraki PS really is an amazing place to learn, work and play. I am so proud of the students and staff.

22.01.2022 Today is RUOK day. We always encourage each other to fill each other's buckets. Today we have a few little surprises that should help do that. Be kind, talk about issues and look after yourself and others. We have a little yellow ribbon for everyone.

21.01.2022 Ms Davy and Year 3/4 have been working like true mathematicians solving division problems and making connections with multiplication and division facts. In Literacy we have all enjoyed reading the "Storey Treehouse" series and have written our own editions. Students have designed and created face sculptures from cardboard and used their models for descriptive writing.

20.01.2022 Today our girl dance group printed their skirts. Looking forward to the first performance. Coraki Public School is amazing.

20.01.2022 The students were so moved by the smoking ceremony yesterday they reflected on the experience through art and writing activities today. Well done everyone. So inspirational.

19.01.2022 Our wonderful school captains finally showcased their skills as leaders. They made us all proud. Lest we forget.

18.01.2022 Kindergarten Orientation started today. Ms Demaria and Ms Jacqui had the best day. The very hungry caterpillar was the focus. Our wonderful new Kindergarten students had an amazing day. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

17.01.2022 The term 4 winner of the Cool Coraki prize was Jalarna. She chose the etching book. Congratulations and enjoy Jalarna. The winner of the overall Cool Coraki prize for the year was Darius. Congratulations Darius. He won a family combo pass to the Lismore Cinemas. Congratulations,we hope your family enjoy the movies. There were so many Cool Corakis in the box as so many of the students have demonstrated exemplar behaviour this year. We are so very proud of all of the students. 16.01.2022 Last week Coraki Public School held a Colour Run. It was an amazing afternoon of fun. The students ran around an obstacle course and the staff where in charge of throwing the coloured powder. All the students had a great time and ended with lots of colour on their shirts. The behaviour of all the students was amazing. Thank you to all the parents who came to support the students. Thank you to also to Ms De Maria for all the organisation and all the staff for making this event so successful. Well done to the students for fundraising as well. #LoveWhereYouLearn

15.01.2022 Today was an amazing day of cultural awareness at Coraki Public School. We had literature appreciation, cooking of johnny cakes and dance . What an awesome afternoon. Thank you to all the staff for ensuring our students have a very deep understanding of Aboriginal Culture.

Thank you to Ms Jacqui for all her work on this and to the wonderful crew at Spaghetti Circus. I know that the program looked a little different to normal as there wasn't the big production. However we hope you enjoy this video as much as the Coraki PS students enjoyed making it for you. Coraki Public School is a fabulous place to work learn and play.

11.01.2022 Whilst excursions and physical travel may be on hold due to current Covid restrictions, Ms Rowhani thought why not bring the Canberra Excursion to Coraki Public School!Students in 5/6 have enjoyed participating in an in-school Canberra Virtual Excursion. During this live, interactive session with educators, students had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge about the War Memorial and the National Gallery of Australia as well as many other activities and historical sigh...ts in Canberra. Students have engaged in discussions, questioning and answering and learning about history of colonisation and Australian democracy during this live, interactive virtual excursion. This has been an extraordinary experience for our students. Congratulations Ms Rowhani for organising this event for the students. 09.01.2022 Today our enthusiastic Aboriginal Girl Dance Group performed their first presentation in our Yarning Circle. It was absolutely fantastic. Enjoy these beautiful photos. Next week we will be sharing a video of the 3 dances. Keep an eye out for it. What an amazing way to end NAIDOC WEEK.

08.01.2022 Our year 6 students got a version of the usual send off, due to the heavy rain last Wednesday. We wish them all the best for high school. We know that they are all well prepared for their next school journey which will begin with year 7. Congratulations and all the best.
