11.01.2022 IN TRAINING. Local artist TANIA ALDERMAN will be taking the reigns for the Coraki Art Prize 2020, with Melva, Ana & George in support roles. A bit about Tania..."I was born on beautiful Norfolk Island. My mother taught me our Norfolk language and the beauty of our culture, with island foods, traditional hula, dance, songs and laughter. I try to bring this loving energy and colourful life into my pieces. My paintings aim to draw you into our magical world, even for a moment and my hope is that it reminds you to notice the simple beauty around you and within you. I love spending time observing and really taking in the beauty and details that mother earth shows off to us. It allows me to surrender, to be in the moment to be an artist and I am truly grateful."
