11.01.2022 Well today I learnt from a local that 3 significant people are coming to Coral Bay to talk to locals tommorow. I have questions that need to be answered: 1) why does a local inform us that the Shire of Carnarvon are coming to town. Thanks Sandra. 2) if you were our Councillor (namely cr Kane Simpson) why would you not be more involved in your community in advising its locals of important events that hardly ever happen for us in Coral Bay to view our thoughts and options to al...low Coral Bay to move forward... 3) discussing issues with our CEO, David Burton, Shire President Eddie Smith and the CEO of Gascoyne Development Commission Tym Duncanson is rather important. Its mportant to everyone who lives here. Not just businesses, but every day workers and new businesses trying to make a go of it...Tonight was suppose to be Coral Bay Progress meeting and then cancelled because of a Bayview get together, really.. 4) we can no longer be controlled by one landlord. Speak with these people who can and will make a difference... The power as a community is to be as one fighting the injustices we face every day from this landlord. They won't go away unless we all unite against hardship, poor accommodation and no retail space to grow your own business. Just like our landlord has with many buildings up and running... Cr Kane Simpson did not or has never supported my business as an essential service to this community. I have fought hard to ensure my contract is adhered too. The Brogans do not own it or ever will whilst I am still above ground.... Read the council minutes and you'll be informed of the many differences Carnarvon and Coral Bay have. We are being held back in so many aspects especially growth!!! Talk to your shire president Eddie Smith if you can't make it tommorow, he's the one I trust in the Shire above anyone else.
