21.01.2022 New year new me? Don't be fooled by the golden colour of this beautiful barramundi caught by a couple of excited fishermen @pelagicpursuit & @tysonpalmer_ filmed by @flowstate_productions. We have been supplying fingerlings to local dams and waterways to keep the #barra species sustainable for over 15 years, and this is highly likely to be one of our babies that got BIG! It's a privilege to put our baby #barramundi into the dams for people to catch and for them to eventually... migrate down stream in the floods and help the wild population. Coloured barramundi is naturally occurring, at #coralcoastbarramundi we are working on naturally selecting them and crossing them to breed a coloured barra for the restaurant trade. A great example of aussie farmers producing food for aussie consumers and helping the local community and fishing industry.
