11.01.2022 The conditions were challenging but that did not stop us maximizing our trip to the Great Barrier Reef last weekend! We saw lion fish, turtles, sharks, starfish, huge schools of reef fish and even some mating nudibranchs! Well done to our adventurous guests who snorkeled and dived their hearts out especially Yvette who completed her Advanced certification! Big shout out to scuba diving adrenaline junky stunt chicken 'Wilson'..... bet the fish had never seen that before!

10.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON MILLN REEF Our faves and one of the premier dive and snorkel destination out of Cairns, Milne Reef has exceptional visibility and will impress even the most experienced diver. Popular for sites such as 3 Sisters, The Whale, The Pub, Hoffs Drop, The Edge, and The Paddock. You can expect to be awe struck by the cyclone of schooling Rock Cod, Red Bass and Chevron Baraccuda. As well as orange, purple and pink Antheas. Bright Red Tomato Clown fish, baby Royal Blue T...angs (Dory) hiding in the Staghorn and many reef sharks including our favourite friend Chip- she loves to visit us for a close encounter. There are gorgeous shallow coral gardens, swim throughs and guaranteed turtle encounters for the snorkelers whilst divers are treated to wall dives and large swim throughs with huge Gorgonian Fans, full of dazzling Glass fish, Fusiliers and Snapper. As well as towering pinnacle structures amassed with fish life and colourful sponges, shelters to unique Nudibranch species and the sandy gardens in between are home to communities of spotted garden eels. By night Milne Reef comes alive with Lion fish, and Red Bass looking for dinner. Cryptic shrimp, crustaceans, Cuttle fish and squid, Parrot fish in their sleep bubbles and snoozing turtles in the reef crevices with curious sharks cruising by. Lou and the team at Aerial Dynamics are an amazingly passionate and exceptionally talented group of awesome women dedicated to exploring and sharing their love of Vertical Arts. This hard working team spent 2 full days at sea, with hours in and under the ocean off Michaelmas Cay, to capture these absolutely stunning images of their art form. While ...we relished in the opportunity to diversify our product and our crew worked hard and tirelessly to accommodate the different challenges and needs for this charter, we are in total awe of Lou and her team's physical and mental strength, unfailing enthusiasm and overall amazingness to create this brilliant imagery. 09.01.2022 Remoras or Suckerfish are the free-riders of the ocean. Clearly not afraid of Sharks! These elongated brown/silver fish surround or live on sharks to snack on the sharks left overs and the tiny shrimp-like parasites that live on the sharks skin. 04.01.2022 Amazing Facts About the Clownfish Come and sea our favourite fish on the Great Barrier Reef with Coral Sea Dreaming - Clown fish are a sub family made up of 28 different species. ... - Nemo is a false clownfish or a clown anemonefish. - True anemonefish/orange clownfish look very similar but live in different habitats. - Their most distinctive traits are their orange bodies, three white bands with a black outline and black tips around the fins. - They are small animals. Their bodies reach up to 11cm long on average. - Clown fish are hermaphrodites. This means that they can be male and female. - A clownfish is born male and has the ability to change into a female. This can happen when the dominant female dies, the dominant male will turn into a female and then choose to mate with another male in the group. However, once they change they cannot turn back. - They are omnivores, meaning they eat both plants and animals.
