25.01.2022 This is how we roll at Futsal. Abit of team work from myself, Chris and Cheree all getting involved with Ashton's Futsal experience. I might have to sign myself up to comp soon if I keep doing all these Futsal Skill drills.

25.01.2022 Today, the BEST from a girl who would not put her eyes in the water 3 weeks ago say "look mum, I am swimming".Today, the BEST from a girl who would not put her eyes in the water 3 weeks ago say "look mum, I am swimming".

25.01.2022 Fallon is doing so well, she is such a delight to teach and is improving each week. She is also excellent encouragement for Amiya who is also in her lesson as Amiya was a little more hesitant and scared of the water, so Fallon helps me encourage Amiya. Last week I got Amiya to put her eyes in the water which was a HUGE step for her, and she was ok. I encouraged her to try to do this again in the bath at home, and mum reported today that they have bought her goggles and now... she is constantly putting her face in the water. That means next week Amiya, we can progress and get you closer to being able to dive under for toys as Fallon does. This first water familiarisation phase can be very tough, you have to earn the child's trust so they know that you are keeping them safe and that they will be ok when they push to places that scare them. Such rewarding work and can't wait for next week. Thanks to Fallon's mum Lauren for the photos. #autismswimportmacquarie #autismswim #ndis #swimmingisfun

23.01.2022 Happy New Year Happy New Year

22.01.2022 I just love this photo of Ashton with Bob. Ashton loves playing with Bob so much that we are going to incorporate some Bob walking into Ashton's activities in the new year. Welcome to the Coralville Care team Bob.

21.01.2022 This review made our day! Jen, Amiya's mom, shares her daughter's progress since she began her journey with Coralville Care. We are so proud of Amiya and thank you for sharing this with us.

21.01.2022 Emma continues, "The support we have had is far beyond what I thought it would be, he is happier smiling more opening up to John and Paula he is the busiest he has ever been, actives nearly every day in school holidays, plus the weekends his been fishing, had horse therapy, trips to Coffs Harbour and now has a personal trainer!!! And this is from a young boy who wouldn’t like to leave his bedroom/ house to go anywhere." Thank you for allowing us to do this with your son. The joy and improvements are exactly why we do it.

20.01.2022 I am so excited to share that we have now been accepted by the NDIS as a registered provider. Anyone that has been through this process knows that a hell of a load of work goes into getting this registration process. Hoops to jump through and many many policies and procedures to write - but we did it. What does this mean? We can now support people that have their plans managed by the NDIA and not just self and plan managed clients.

19.01.2022 Set up and ready to go for our first lesson. What a great quite private space for autism swim lessons. No loud noises or distractions here.

19.01.2022 Road trip. Stood my ground and didn’t give up the front seat but may have done some negotiations and I may be in the back on the way home. #teamashton

15.01.2022 Miss Kylah turned the big 8 yesterday and today she was ok when I pulled her face under the water a little. She didn’t freak out and did it on more then one occasion. I’m sure she will be going under in no time. These kind of moments are always so rewarding. All the warm feels.... Good job Kylah and Happy Birthday.

13.01.2022 In addition to my autism swim aquatics program that I have running in Port Macquarie for kids, I would now like to introduce a similar program for adults in Taree. Nothing is set in stone yet, but just taking names of people who may be interested. The program would be available for 3 to 4 adults max (all that will fit in my car) - I would pick you up, we would go to the Taree Aquatic Centre and swim together in a lane that I will be booking for us and then have ...coffee or something to eat at the cafe there when we are finished. We will be doing this once a week. This would ideally suit someone who does love to swim and can do a few laps and someone who potentially would like some coaching with their stroke to help them improve. No details of costs yet, but will be able to be funded from either core supports or capacity building. If this sounds like it is for you, make sure you let me know. #ndis #autismswimmanning #adultswim #swimmingisfun

13.01.2022 Now officially listed on Autism Swim Australia register for approved autism swim teachers. https://autismswim.com.au//private-instructor-paula-allsop/

12.01.2022 All packed up and ready to go for tomorrow for the start of our aquatics program. To say this has taken alot of work to get to this point is an understatement, but it is all worth it to be able to help these children improve their water safety skills. I have spent most of the day working on individual lesson plans for each child taking on board all the things that they like and don't like - and where their current skillset lies.... #autismswimportmacquarie #NDIS #autismswim #disabilitysupport

12.01.2022 We had a great first day. Well done to our swimmers - Ashton, Kylah, Fallon and Amiya - you all did so well.

10.01.2022 They shall grow not old, As we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, Nor the years condemn; At the going down of the sun... And in the morning WE WILL REMEMBER THEM. See more

07.01.2022 We lost one of the balls which happened to be Ashtons favourite down the side of the pool. So brought John’s fishing net today to retrieve it as Ashton was not happy. I told him I could buy a new one from K Mart but that wasn’t sitting right with our boy so situation now averted.

07.01.2022 From our family to yours wishing you a very Happy New Year.

03.01.2022 Pool fun with Ashton. Discussing this year's goals and planning this year's activities. #ndis #autismswim #goalsetting2021
