20.01.2022 A sleek new boat, named for a shark, is about to ply the ocean off Broome. The eight-metre boat is called Jurrwayi, which means black tipped reef shark in Yawur...u. It was commissioned by the Roebuck Bay Marine Park Joint Management Body and designed specifically to make it easier for traditional owners and researchers to access the Yawuru Nagulagun Marine Park. Jurrwayi will be operated by Parks and Wildlife in partnership with Yawuru people.
