25.01.2022 This fortnight we have been working on thoracic rotation and some lovely stretches to do in sitting, standing, and lying. We hope you enjoy some quiet moments to move your spine this week. #coregymball #coreawesomephysioteam

23.01.2022 Are gymballs good to use at a desk? For short periods gymballs are great. But not all day. Once we get tired we tend to wedge feet under it, rest it against legs of table, slump and lose good posture when our muscles fatigue. If you have the space to move between a gymball, sitting in an office chair and standing then GREAT! Remember our best posture is out next posture

21.01.2022 Core Gymball Family!

19.01.2022 Spring is here and over the next few weeks, the weather will warm further. To keep functioning at our best this post is a gentle reminder to keep up your water intake. "How much should I drink?" I hear you say. Everyone's fluid needs vary depending on how much we sweat, our work environment (comfy air-conditioned office or outdoors in the sun?), our diet (we can get 20% of fluid from diet along) and our exercise. . A great simple tip is simply to watch your urine colo...ur - we want straw / white wine coloured urine - not clear (that is too much fluid) and not orange! If your urine is too dark, drink a little more, and remember your bladder loves to be drip-fed, little bits of fluid spaced beautifully through the day. #coregymball #springtime #coreawesomephysioteam See more

17.01.2022 Are you getting enough calcium to keep your bones strong? Here is a great calcium calculator (by the International Osteoporosis Foundation) that is easy to use to see if you are getting enough for good bone health. Have a go! It only takes a few minutes and is helpful in understanding all the foods that contain calcium. https://www.iofbonehealth.org/calcium-calculator #wednesdaywellness #awesomecorephysioteam #healthytips

12.01.2022 Today we are continuing to do "our bit" to reduce our carbon footprint here @ Core Gymball. We do lots of little things to help minimise our waste; Metal cups for when we forget our drink bottle. There are no plastic water bottles for sale here! Free filtered water for all... Bamboo wipes for sanitizing. Today we are super excited to make our biggest leap forward, we are having solar panels installed As you can see it is one massive job - from months of admin for strata approval to scissor lifts and a great team of guys from AG Solar Lets all keep doing our "little bit" to care for this beautiful world we inhabit

Thanks for your understanding! We have placed another QR code on the front door so you can sign in while waiting

08.01.2022 Hip Hip Hooray!! Weekly Tip. Sleeping can be disrupted by aching hips. . A good tip if your top hip gets achy in side lying is to use a nice supportive pillow between your knees. .... Don't use an old thin one, use a nice big one that will keep your thigh bones parallel. #coregymball #physioteam #weeklytip See more

06.01.2022 We hear time and time again at Core Gymball "This is the only exercise I have ever stuck to!" Which is WONDERFUL!! We know we have an amazing physio team leading the way with quality, safe exercise, and the other thing we know is exercising in a group and with friends is research-proven to work. You’re more likely to exercise consistently if you work out with other people. It holds you accountable because you don’t want to let them down by not showing up, and... you’ll also have more fun, says Deborah Feltz, a professor of kinesiology at Michigan State University. . In her research, Feltz has found other benefits, too: People who work out with a partner exert more effort and also spend almost twice as much time exercising as those who go it alone. More effort and twice as much time exercising - ain't that awesome! We all know how time flies when you are enjoying what you are doing :) See more
