22.01.2022 By all accounts the latest round of testing at our @surf_lakes Yeppoon facility look and sound like things have been taken to the next level and the goal of dou...bling the size was achieved. I am so bummed I couldnt be there but just spoke with @ben_player who is in the barrel in this shot and he said it was legitimately powerful and felt exactly like an ocean wave. 14.01.2022 ***Breaking News*** CEO of the World Surf League, Sophie Gold-Top Mushroom, has cancelled a string of events scheduled for the 2018 World Championship Tour due ...to safety fears. As was revealed today, Goldfingers has cancelled the Margaret Dupre Pro due to a rare phenomenon known as Sharks in their natural habitat, also stating that "she cant guarantee the safety of the Brazilian competitors against land based animals such as Mikey Wright". After further discussions continuing through the afternoon with major stakeholders & sponsors, Sophie Monk is concerned for WSL surfers safety in Brazil ( The crime capital of South America ) and has cancelled this event from the 2018 schedule. CEO Snowflake has also cancelled the Jeffreys Bay Open ( Due to fears that Mick Fanning might attempt a comeback ) and following this, the Tahiti Pro has been canned due to the discovery that there is a dangerous coral reef underneath the water. The last event that the World Shark League CEO has cancelled is the Surf Ranch wavepool event due to a claim of jurisdiction from the World Cable-Waterski Authority ( WC-WA ) after legal action was initiated stating the Le-snore, California facility is classified as a freshwater lake recreational facility, for which the WC-WA presides over. The revised tour schedule for 2018 will travel to Bali, France and Hawaii, although these destinations are pending review by the board of the WSL ( none of who actually surf ). Sophie has a soft spot for Bali as she likes to have her hair braided, she also likes to go shopping in France, and she enjoys pia-coladas at sunset on Hawaiis famous small wave beach, Waikiki ( Sophie quietly mentioned she wishes to move the Hawaiian event to mid-year in 2019, for calm seas and warmer weather ).
